Surely some of you wingers must have made it to today's Tea Party rally at the Lauderdale County Courthouse.

Give us a report on what happened. Tell us about the nutterances of the Birchers and "birthers." Let us know what percentage of signs had no more than 2 or 3 spelling errors.
How many of the sheeple there were toting copies of Sarah Palin's book? How many signs used attempted-cutesy ways of linking Obama's name to various suffixes(e.g. "Obamination")in order to coin insults to the Honorable Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of its Armed Forces, not to mention Leader of the Free World??

An anxious Forum awaits!

I am sure if you took a poll of the teabaggers present you would find out that its people who 1) have little education 2) are probably at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum and 3) don't form their own political opinions through their own efforts of research but rather lazily believe whatever stupidity Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin tell them too. I guess you could say they are just a heard of sheep following the fad.

Wow was any of that grounded in fact? You forgot to mention George Bush was worse than Hitler.

According to a recent poll by the NYT, you are wrong on most of your premises. The poll found that the Tea Partiers were generally better educated than the average citizen, was more informed, and 20% of them made more than $100K per year.
NYT poll
i went to see for myself, i did not attend, i stayed away but close enough to watch and listen. as far as what kind of people attended,i saw young and old, educated appearing and non educated appearing, saw many different groups represented, i heard a lot of criticism and very little ideas on how to unite this country.......then again i dont think anybody is trying to do that, the left is moving farther to the left and the right is doing the same, and the rest of us are in the middle, getting caught in the crossfire

I'm sorry but if I were making that much money, I wouldn't be whining about paying a little extra to help out the needy.

You are just the kind of unknowing drone the liberal politicians love and depend on. Do you think an income tax increase will be the ONLY increase? You'd better think again and it won't effect only the rich. Who do you think sets the prices for the food, shelter, clothes, gas, internet, cellphones etc that you buy? That's right. The rich.
You may not be rich just as most Conservatives aren't but you better be ready to "pony up" just like the rest of us.

Yup, nobody has anything so no one is jealous. Happiness personified. Once you start paying increased prices for your food with an additional 20% sales tax on top of the 8-10% sales tax we already have, I look forward to seeing you dancing in the street.
People lie about self-identification in polls all the time. The data is not trustworthy in any poll unless it is verified. They lie about how often they go to church, how much they make, their educational levels, their political affiliations, and even their views on dogs as house pets. Face it, people lie all the time, especially a bunch who are "tired and emotional".

They had no ax to grind as we spent like drunken sailors (and as former frequently drunk sailor, that is hard to believe) to fight non-existing "yellow cake" and uranium enrichment aluminum tubes. They had no ax to grind when Ronnynomics came a-knocking and took any adequate supervision of our macro economy as a giant gambling game for the benefit of a few on Wall Street and in the City in London.

Now, a man partially of sub-Saharan origin is President and he could cure cancer with spit and they come out of the woodwork, led by AFP, a Koch Brothers creation. Then they go out on their own and get sideswiped by militia types, open racists, conspiracy theorists and Talibangelists. The Kochs and Scaife only care about one thing: not to pay taxes if they possibly can and to endeavor to spread as much manure to as many who will buy into their little dog Rupert's crap as possible.

Tea Partiers of the World Unite! You have nothing to lose but your pride and stand to inherit the Wonderful Imaginary World of Glenn Beck, also known as Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Thanks, you expressed it better than I did!

So they are tired of paying for the uninsured “deadbeats”, but are against the healthcare bill because it requires everyone to have insurance so that there are no more uninsured deadbeats. I’m beginning to understand how they can yell for less government intervention in their personal lives while insisting that the government tell everyone else how to live. Now what was that you were saying about intelligence?

I guess you don't trust CBS either.

They tend to skew older: Three in four are 45 years old or older, including 29 percent who are 65 plus. They are also more likely to be men (59 percent) than women (41 percent).

More than one in three (36 percent) hails from the South, far more than any other region. Twenty-five percent come from the West, 22 percent from the Midwest, and 18 percent from the northeast.

(Credit: CBS)
They are better educated than most Americans: 37 percent are college graduates, compared to 25 percent of Americans overall. They also have a higher-than-average household income, with 56 percent making more than $50,000 per year.

More than half (54 percent) identify as Republicans, and another 41 percent say they are independents. Just five percent call themselves Democrats, compared to 31 percent of adults nationwide.

Nearly three in four describe themselves as conservative, and 39 percent call themselves very conservative. Sixty percent say they always or usually vote Republican. Forty percent say the United States needs a third party, while 52 percent say it does not.

They are more likely than American adults overall to attend religious services weekly (38 percent do so) and to call themselves evangelical (39 percent). Sixty-one percent are Protestant, and another 22 percent are Catholic.

More than half -- 58 percent -- keep a gun in the household.

Something you leftists will never understand. You are free to do what you want. Have 16 babies, refuse to work, refuse to get insurance, get hooked on booze and drugs, whatever. But the rest of us should have the right to refuse to pay for your upkeep.

Under the current system, we end up paying for these losers as soon as they join a group insurance plan. Well, those of us who actually have jobs ending up footing the bill.

I'm not sure if McDonald's has group insurance though. Crash, care to chime in? Or is it Burger King where you flip burgers?

So you've seen me in McDonald's and Burger King. I've noticed you in both places, head in toilet, cleaning away but like any other lib you do a poor job.

I have lots of hard-working friends, many of them self-employed, who have to pay outrageous premiums for their insurance. They don't have the luxury of having good insurance from a big company like I do. It makes me sick when I hear how much they have to pay for decent insurance.

Which, taken literally, means that they, too, are deadbeats.

Perhaps you should choose your words more carefully. Your phrasing above reminds me of a semi-literate co-worker I once knew, who referred to members of another work crew as "them other sumbiches." I advised him that by that, he was identifying US as "sumbiches" too. He snarled and said, "Arr, you KNOW whut I mean!"

If you are going to use terms like leftist and socialist, use them correctly lest you show your ignorance of politics. I am NOT a leftist but I AM tired of people who scream they want the government to stay out with one breath and then demand its intervention to suit their purposes in the next.

I agree in theory that people should be able to do what they want and take responsibility for the consequences. However, that may work on paper but it does not work in practice.

NO ONE should have 16 babies as there is a limit to how many people this world can support without all of us suffering.

Let people shoot up and they end up cluttering the streets with their tired ass irresponsible selves. Plus they turn to crime to support that lazy ass habit.

And what do we do with people who are spreading disease because you misguidedly think they have a right to carry disease rather than get treated or vaccinated?

The reality is, people do have rights but they are limited to the extent that they do not impact others.

The anarchy you describe results in chaos and unlivable conditions for everyone and is an unrealistic and somewhat naive oversimplification of the world.

Moby, for those who will be forced to pay for their own insurance....who do you think is going to pay for that? Not them, it is going to be paid for with a government entitlement, paid for thru our taxes.
