The entire schedule of what is available to watch on TV is horrible, especially the "crap" they show now on what we call "network TV".  I'm on the verge of downgrading my satellite TV to the $30 programming . Recently got a ROKU and have been enjoying all the stuff on it, most of it free , even western movies - although they do have adds on that. Gotten to where about all I watch on "cable" tv is the History Channel, Animal channel, National Geographic, and re-runs of NCIS on USA . If I cut back I'll loose Animal channel and NGO, but what the heck. I've even almost quit watching CNN.

What is ROKU?

If you have high speed internet and a router, you can buy from WalMart a ROKU which is a brand name of a box that lets you stream TV from the internet to your TV, either wired or wireless,

Cost about $48. Gets Netflicks, HuLu Plus, Amazon (all paid services) and some more , but also there is a world of stuff for free on it, although some of the free stuff comes with commercials. You can get the nightly news cast from all 3 major networks, plus the made up news of Fox. Like old Western movies ?- got a channel for that - free (but has adds), plus a lot more. Gotta go to  a menu and get a lot of that free stuff tho, no problem but read the instructions.

I have Netflix, (about $8.00/month) but not HuLu Plus, or Amazon (about $8/month also),

Walmart has a 30 day return policy, so I suggest you just go buy one, and check it out. My bet is you won't be taking it back.

There are other brands, but ROKU seems to be the best of the lot, and they start at $48, and go up to about $100 if you want the better HD types.

I bought one, and have had a hard time getting it to work the wireless route, which is surprising considering the router is just a few steps away down the hall.  I am gonna try to hard wire it and give it another try.  I have Netflix on my big screen downstairs and love it. I can see why video stores went out of business.
