Because Alpha comes before Beta?

So Bedford points his finger [again] and you believe him? Who’s dictating to who?

BTW, I’m not an ALFA customer [never have been], but I do appreciate their successful efforts in the defeat of Riley’s Amendment One. It flat out amazed me the same folks who voted it down voted him a second term.

Wow...you like our elected officials being told what to do by a giant corporation?

BTW...Bedford is a crook!
Happens every day, anyone who thinks otherwise is blind or just plain dumb. Politicians may be paid by the taxpayer, but it is usually money from the large corporations that helps them win the elections to get there. For this, they (the corporations) get to levy their opinion on policy. Its a vicious cycle that happens all over the US.

This surprises you?

On another note, I am kindof glad the insurance companies are staying on top of these type issues. Do you think the large corporations are going to 'absorb' the extra cost associated with laws that affect them? Nope, they get passed on to us through higher premiums. So, they are actually looking out for us, probably more than the politicians.

The only problem I see here is that a certain politician made sure that, if he didnt get his way, nobody got their way. Kindof sounds like the kid on the playground that throws a fit when he doesnt get his way are ruins recess for everyone.

Lets define sheeple: People who unquestioningly accept as true whatever their political leaders say or who adopt popular opinion as their own without scrutiny

Thats about as far the other side of what I posted as you can get. Its not 'popular opinion' that corporations fund political campaigns for their own benefit, its fact. Be it through employee PAC's or other methods. Its not hard for a corporation to tell their employees 'We cant tell you to give to this PAC, but it would greatly benefit us, thus your job in general, to do so.'

But from what I hear around the forums about you, why would I expect you to know how the world really works.
