With 8,545 members, most of us would like to know, if the forums part is going to be shut down. So this is the question to the members on here do you want the forums to stay or go.

I don't think the Decatur Daily will keep this forum. Waste of money in their eyes.
If they do, there are several other forums available where you aren't inundated with ads! I would miss being able to view the news online, tno'. Wonder if they'll at least keep the TD online?
It's free adv. They would be foolish to shut it down.
When the Decatur Daily shut down their forum, did they put something about it in the paper first?

I just come here for the forum and now there are many more forums with all the same great people and no Sybil. No, I would not pay to be here.

The new owners of the TimesDaily have no immediate plans to make major changes to the way the Web site and forums function. There are no intentions of shutting down the forums or charging to access the forums at this time.

I would be worried if this was the only forum I posted on. This one is for enterainment purposes only. If I want to have a serious dialogue with someone, trust me it's not here.
I know of two lawsuits that are pending, so based on that, more than likely they will close the forum. They don't need that liability.

Entertainment only, huh? Then why would you start a topic asking EH if they retained copies of deleted posts? If the therapist you spoke of needed them, I would think that they would be capable of contacting the TD themselves.
