Hmm... That's odd. Maybe they were asking the wrong people?

I have been in deep despair before and suicide was the farthest thought from my mind.  What kept me going was "tomorrow."  Tomorrow always provides another chance to fix a bad situation. Far as I know-I only get one life and I kinda like it. Dunno why on earth I'd wanna end it prematurely no matter how bad it might get.

There's too much stuff I haven't seen and done yet.

Hi Deep,

Happy to see you back in almost your original hat!!!  I suppose we can now presume that BJBG has been laid to rest and we will now have our old buddy, Deep, with us full time.

See, it is like I have always said -- wait long enough and all good things return.  I'm hanging on to my 1960s/70s flare bottom pants -- they are much more comfortable than the skinny peg-leg look we have today.   So, I guess you are like our flare bottom pants -- returned to make us comfortable.   Okay, we can back up; to make we Christians stay alert and on our toes; lest you slip some Darwin tablets in on us.

Welcome back, my Friend,

Thanks anyway.

Hi Deep,

Sorry for the confusion.  With a world of posting names, including real names, I have never understood why anyone would want to hijack another person's posting name.  Let's all play nice and quit trying to confuse our Forum Friends.  We have no reason to duplicate posting names and avatars -- or have one so similar as to confuse our Forum Friends -- in an attempt to make another look bad.  Hey, we can all dig a deep enough hole for ourselves -- without someone taking our persona and trying to help!  Just my thoughts!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Before I caught onto the fact that this was actually Buffalo, i read the stupid thing kinda giggling that deepfat was parodying this stupid news article from, of all places, Conservapedia.  i actually took the time to research one fo the claims and, of course, it was not what the Conservapedia article said it was. imagine that.
the conservapedia article is putting "religiously unaffililated" in with the same group as "atheist" which is NOT the same.  the references a decent looking study that did show a correlation between DEPRESSED people who were religious and compared that to DEPRESSED people who were NON-AFFILIATED with any religion and, no surprise, the people that did not have a support group of friends from church did commit suicide more often.
another recent study showed that people who affiliate themselves with almost ANY grouping of people generally do better than people who are loners. the same study showed atheists were just as "happy" as their religious counterparts.  avowed atheists today have lots of ways of interacting with people of the same mind.  i am thankful for that otherwise it would be quite depressing living in a world all alone with people who are still under the spell of religion.

Dude! With some of the posts you've been making lately...I can think of a few "group sessions" you qualify for...

Once one resorts to cursing, instead of conducting a well thought out response, credibility of the poster begins to be questionable.

Shouldn't you all try to be a little more mature?

I agree cage but nsns thinks his atheism gives him license to say, unchallenged, any hateful thing he wishes to say; not true as you have witnessed.

Nsns started it. He owes an apology to mankind in general.

as a matter of fact I apologize to mankind in general for calling my fran nsns a ---.

Crust.

I see this claim often.

If there is ever anything I say that you don’t understand please ask for an analogy.

I assume, when I post, that most on here are well read and have a vocabulary greater than 6th grade level.

It’s simple , if you cannot comprehend what I say, ask for an analogy or just assume when you see a post by me that likely it is going to be over your head.

Lucky for me I’m from the generation whose noggin is not compromised by any use of drugs or chemicals.

You do appear kinda slow there old crust.

If you are on a mission to assist the mentally ill I think slim and uno will keep you busy there doctor.
