Two Crossed RED LINES, two different Presidents and  two very different replies to Syria's President's crossing of those red lines.

If there was ever any doubts about difference between Obama and Trump this attack using 50+ Cruise Missiles against a Syrian air strip should remove all speculation.    Aside from the statement to Syria's president there is no doubt that it's a shot across the bow of Iran, Russia, and North Korea removing all doubts about what kind of President occupies the White House today.  A President of action and not one of hyperbole and idle statements or empty warnings.

I doubt, very seriously, that Iranian gun boats will be making runs at American warships thinking that they will be greeted with fears and inaction.  It makes one wonder what North Korea will think.   It's also interesting that this comes at the very moment that Trump and China's leader was dining with Trump and will be meeting with him on North Korea.  I doubt that China's leader will look at Trump in the same way that they looked at Obama and more than that I'm 100% sure that Trump will not be apologizing to China or anyone else for the strike today.  There is definitely a new LEADER in Washington and one who is decisive and determined.

It's a dangerous world and getting more dangerous each moment but you can be sure that our adversaries, today, have a renewed respect for America and our Military and the longer that Trump is in power you can be assured that the military strength of our nation will become stronger and more determined.  Lastly I believe that there was a message sent to our men/women in the military and that is that there is someone in the white house that not only has their back but has their interest in mind.  Also a sign to any and all adversaries that if America will attack a nation in reply to that nation attacking it's own innocent people then there will be a much more determined and deliberate attack against anyone that dares to strike the United States, our people or our friends.

It's a dangerous world out there but I, as an American, feel far more proud and safe, with Donald Trump in office than when Obama was in there.

Naio, I appreciate how you feel. However North Korea has not done more than talk.  I personally don't agree with the bombing, but can see where it sends a message. The school bully will continue to pick on someone if they don't think that person will do anything.

I would like to see us stop giving money to everyone. Also stop being the world police.  We should strengthen our borders and our economy.

The left is completely mad.  Some stated Trump was a Putin puppet and would do nothing. Now, sending in the Tomahawks proves it.  Some claimed after Obama's red line speech there were no more chemical attacks. Really ticked off that I pointed out 15 more after the speech.  Noam Chomsky in Democracy Now says the conspiracy types are fools.

Obama and Congress kicked the can down the road, thinking "it would never happen again", and yet here we are. These are the same chemical weapons that Saddam had in his arsenal.  Today I heard Tim Kaine (D) telling how this was the right thing to do but Trump was wrong because he should have come to Congress to get permission....Really Tim?  The same Congress that cannot confirm a chief justice or agree on a healthcare plan? By the time these nuts get finished "talking" about it, the weapons would have been sheltered somewhere else.  I do not want to see conflict, but at the same time I do not want to see innocent women and children being gassed or attacked with nerve agents. This might have been "illegal", but so is using gas against civilians.  This is not different than Bill Clinton launching cruise missiles into Bosnia during his administration. Hopefully, the Russians will agree.

d**n obama!

Crash, where in the realm of sanity did you come up with the third statement?

Trumps ban on the 7 nations covered EVERYONE from those nations, Muslim and non-Muslims.  How can you even make that statement that it was because they were Muslim when much larger Muslim population countries were not on the list?  Frankly put, it was not a Muslim ban!  Anyone believing it was is just deceived by whatever Counterfeit Network News they were listening to.

Where/what are you basing your information on?  What evidence do you cite to prove it to be a Muslim ban?  Why were much larger populated Muslim nations omitted from the list of 7?

Answer:
Blind rampart hate of the insane doesn't follow explainable reasoning
or common sense thought. You can't talk to a self made manchurian
when it so promptly and willingly sold out to the resistance.
There's no stopping for them in their twisting, lying or dance.

Yes, go to congress and telegraph out intensions to the world. Nice. I'm not for the US becoming a major player in the mess.  However, punishing strikes for the chemical attacks against civilians, yes.  Why wasn't ISIS targeted with the nasty stuff?

Isn't it strange how so many supporters of Trump were condemning him for this move and so many critics of Trump were supportive.  I think Trump was just doing what he promised to do and is remaining true to himself.  He campaigned on making America great and back to a position of prominence in the world and the measured Strike was doing just that. It was a decision made among his advisors and being measured wasn't a rash action.  In some ways the strike itself was a contradiction to what positions he took on and during the campaign but what many people fail to realize is Candidate Trump looked at the world through a colored view.  Since winning he is now privy to information and facts that most of us don't know and possibly never will know.  One only has to look at the toll it takes on past Presidents to realize that they know a lot more as President than they ever knew as candidates.  People change their minds based upon changing, or new, information and it's quite likely Candidate Trump would not have done the Strike but President Trump did.

The world is a very dangerous place where certain alliances could trigger a World War III if calm heads do not prevail.  One thing I believe Obama never did understand or comprehend was that weakness or perceived weakness is far more dangerous than strength.  In this decision Trump made, he exhibited strength, on the part of the United States, but in doing so he also made a move that was favorable to ISIS, the very group he detest most but the use of weapons of mass destruction (chemical weapons) meant there was a greater threat than ISIS and if not controlled it was possible that ISIS would one day get possession of them if they don't have them already.

Candidate Trump also said he would go after targets even if families was in the way and it is possible, just possible, that some higher ranking terrorist might just have second thoughts about an attack on America or Trump if they think that Trump would eliminate their families as a retaliation which would surely come.  Trump demonstrated strength and resolve and with the strike not only sent a message to Assad but to Iran and N. Korea.  That message may not change anything but it's possible that changes will happen that may not be seen or known but at least the world will know there is no indecision in Trump's resolve to take care of America first.

The youth was not identified, but security service head Benedicte Bjornland said intelligence agencies were aware of him. He is an asylum-seeker from Russia who arrived in Norway with his family in 2010, Bjornland said.

Bjornland also alleged that the youth was part of "extreme Islamism" circles in Norway.

"It is likely that that attacks in France, German, Great Britain, Russia and Sweden can create a copycat effect in Norway with people with Islamic sympathies," Bjornland said, listing of the locations of extremist attacks that have devastated Europe in the last year.
