We have.

The difference is we get to pick a policy that covers what we want or need.

Obamacare will be one size fits none. Add 16 million more to that Medicaid list and you will see lot's more of Baby Seths, without good endings.

Insurance companies bet you will live a long and healthy life while paying out big premiums.

You are betting you will get sick and need them to pay for it.

Now, how do you win in that scenario?

That's not true. Private health insurers reject claims on what the policy states they'll cover all the time.

Some of the shabby providers have been known to try and find things like spelling errors on the insured's application to deny coverage, once a major illness hits, but BCBS and the other major providers deny legitimate claims too. You've even stated that you've fought with BCBS to pay claims for years.

Inspired by the dismissive attitude of most on this forum, I have donated twice.

What dismissive attitude? While you were lying about death panels and before you began blowing your own horn I had already donated. No one was posting anything against that child and I knew anyone that heard/read his story would send money. I just didn't realize we had to come in here patting ourselves on the back.

Let me get this straight: Palin's Downs Syndrome baby shouldn't have to stand in front of the "death panel" but baby Seth should?

"While there are many treatments for Down syndrome, Down syndrome is not a condition that can be cured. However, there are treatments and therapies for the physical, medical and cognitive problems associated with Down syndrome. The goal of medical treatments in Down syndrome are to manage the medical conditions associated with Down syndrome, while early intervention and therapies help many people with Down syndrome live long productive lives."

These treatments aren't experimental, and I don't know the statistics of Downs vs what Seth has, but I would imagine Downs is more common.

I have and 90% of the time, they admit they made an error. I have not had a claim rejected for BEING covered, but I have had claims that had to be refiled because the diagnostic codes did not match their codes. As for companies that dump people for getting sick, that sucks and should be illegal, which now it is. The thing about insurance is they like to be very specific about things being covered. Sometimes, they do get around a claim but when you read the coverage, it does give them an out. Is that wrong? It's legal even if it does not seem moral sometimes.

When I said we can pick, I mean if you want a pregnancy policy, you buy one. Need one for under 18, you've got it. Want nursing home coverage? There's a plan. Worried about cancer in your family tree, buy one for that too. All these are separate items that you can pick and choose. When the Obamaplan takes over, we don't know what we will get because they have not even written the plans yet. My doctor may go out of business if he is forced to take Medicaid patients. He keeps his charges low but since they only get about $5 a visit for a Medicaid patient, he cannot survive if his practice has 50% Medicaid.

So I would feel a lot better about Obamcare IF there was a plan in place that I could read.
