Before condemning the thugs who are looting and burning the city, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake talked about giving ‘space’ to people intent on destruction, showing a startling lack of common sense.

Yes, she said it.

She uttered these words while explaining how she had sought to maintain “the very delicate balance” between the right to protest and the safety of police officers as a week of demonstrations over the death of Freddie Gray began to turn violent on Saturday.

“We work very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate,” she said. “And that’s what we saw.”

After that success over the weekend, she apparently took the same approach on Monday. And this time those who wished to destroy just kept destroying and destroying as the situation escalated to where Maryland Governor Larry Hogan activated the National Guard.

Rawlings-Blake was only 21 at the time of the Crown Heights Riots in 1991, when New York Mayor David Dinkins held the police back in order to let protesters “blow off a little steam.” But, the destructive result was something anyone who runs a city should have studied.

Baltimore now suddenly became Crown Heights on steroids.

And to make matters worse, each thrown brick and bottle, each trashed car, each store looted and burned was an insult to Freddie Gray’s twin sister. Her brother had become the second young man to suffer fatal spinal injuries after being arrested for a petty crime and loaded into a Baltimore police van.

She nonetheless remained a voice for peace.

“My family wants to say, can you all please stop the violence?” Fredricka Gray said. “Freddie Gray would not want this.”

Monday began with the chilling word from the Baltimore police of a “credible threat” that the Black Guerilla Family, the Crips, and the Bloods had formed an alliance to kill white cops as if were suddenly back in the 1970s and the time of the Black Liberation Army.

She gave her OK for the riots, and egged on the rioters, now she can come back and as you posted basically say, "I know what I said and I meant what I said but I didn't mean what I said except I meant it." The lefties just lap it up. She should be kicked out of office and charged with inciting riots. You can darn well believe that would be happening if she was white and the rioters were mainly white. Like I posted, not a peep from the lefties about this case because of the people in charge of the police dept. and city.

Left doesn't care. Left riots. Left 'steals them some stuff' and calls it protesting. Nothing like a new tv or new sneakers that they don't have to pay for to soothe their feelings.

I think it's very strange that the lefties aren't making a peep about it. By now there would have been five or six threads condemning the mayor, police commissioner, and everyone else they could think of. Yet here we have a mayor condoning rioting, giving permission, and egging on the rioters, and not a word from the cop haters on here. That speaks volumes.

Whites with a majority of the population account for murder of about 4,500 whites annually of 6,500 whites killed,  Blacks, with about 12.5 percent of the population account for murder of about 4,500 blacks annually of about 6,500 blacks killed,  If blacks wish fewer blacks to die, they must first face the man in the mirror.

FYI, police kill about 400 people annually, justified and otherwise, of which about 100 are black,

As it turns out she handled the situation superbly and contrary to what any white mayor has done in the past. She out smarted whitey news media that wanted it to explode.

Oh, it exploded, Sparky.

Maybe you should upgrade from "Rabbit ear" antenna to cable...

"Nonproductive ways"???

You mean like killing each other every day?

I saw how the police were first deployed. Most only had the helmets they carry in their cruisers,  In clumps of 8 to 10, they bunched together with one man in front holding a riot shield.  The mayor holds most of the blame (so much for the myth that attractive women are usually intelligent).  The governor got the NG down there, but waited in the mayor, so he's the second idiot on the list.,

Game over. Expect no more coherent responses from the country boy.

However, it sure looks like the Black Supremacists running Baltimore can't get things "lined up".

Their constituents paid the price.

Perhaps their vote fell a little short of their expectations.

I don't know about that, just that when the race card is played it means the poster has no rebuttal.

Therefore, there will be no more than nanananaha coming from the poster.

Do you really believe that is the answer?

You and I  both know that all sides can throw the "Big Rook" on the table  at any time, and back it up, but, is that addressing the current state of affairs in this country?

We are being "owned" by the Politicians. In bed with "Big Money". Both Parties.

Time for a change.

It will take us "commoners" finding some sort of middle ground. Then, telling the Politicians ENOUGH!

If it hasn't been manipulated to the point of no return.

You might as well play "go fish" with yourself CountyCoon, I have yet to see

racism in these TD forums. But you, yourself, has come very close.

As I suspected, that squirrelly dawg ain't playing with a full deck.

They need to get rid of the mayor too. Notice too, the white officer is the only one pictured.

Cops want charges or Baltimore prosecutor dropped.

The six Baltimore police officers arrested over the death of Freddie Gray asked Friday that charges be dropped or that the city's top prosecutor step aside because of her "political and personal motivation."

In a joint motion to the local district court, attorneys for the officers argued that the "inciting rhetoric" State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby used at a May 1 news conference announcing the charges violated constitutional protections against "overzealous prosecution."

"Rarely in the history of any criminal case has a prosecutor so directly maintained so many conflicts of interests," the motion declares. "Rarer still are instances where such clear conflicts exists [sic] and a prosecutor steadfastly refuses to him or herself."

Maryland state senator calls for Baltimore police commissioner to step down
Excerpt:

“Somebody’s got to be accountable, and I’m sick of listening to Batts blame his predecessor," Brochin said. "He’s been in office three years, and it’s ridiculous.”

“He needs to go,” Brochin continued.

Baltimore's mayor called for the US DoJ to review their police department. Last Republican elected to city office was in 1963. Democrats have run the place since then -- into the ground.  The government is Democrat for decades, the mayor, police chief and commissioner are black, 45 percent of the police force is black (over half are minorities).

The mayor has now admitted the Democrats are incompetent in running the force, if not the city. yet, expect a Democrat DoJ to improve the situation. Blind leading the blind in a land of cliffs.
