We have had enough politicians in office. We would do better to have a business man to straighten out the economic mess this country is in. I have my doubts that Trump could get elected but I do believe that if he were, that he would give it his best shot to run the country like a business, not spending what you don't have. But he would still be dealing with politicians and they would fight to continue to spend just like the article about the spending of the BP funds. After all that IS free money they are spending in Washington. Yeah, right.

He is definitely the lessor of the two evils in this poll.
Anyone who would vote for Donald Trump seriously needs their head examined. Did anyone meet him when he came here a few years ago? He was here as a guest of the Andersons to speak at a dinner to promote the library. He was so condescending and off-putting. He obviously did not want to be here among us little people and he made no attempts to hide it. I couldn't stand the man.
Well, you just added Mitt Romney! (NO SURPRISE)

OF COURSE, you THUGS already have TWO, count em, TWO DECLARED CANDIDATES:

Fred Karger AND,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
JIMMY MCMILLAN (The rent is too **** high)

GO WITH MCMILLAN, or for that matter THE DONALD!

Either way, this will be a laugh RIOT.....................

REPUBLICANS: BAD FOR THE COUNTRY, GREAT FOR COMEDY!!!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

If you hadn't put Trump's name in there we could just as well think you were speaking of obummer. I don't care for Trump and I have doubts he will really "go for it", but the democrites have nothing at all in their "stable" to offer us.

"Obummer"...........really. And you wonder why no one takes you seriously. Come back when you have some thing productive to say, or stick to religious comments, which your other personality does pretty well.

I'd rather swallow nails than vote for a Republican, but I'd even welcome Mitt Romney over Donald Trump. Why would I vote for a man who can only successfully manage his businesses part of the time and thinks his multiple marriages stemming from infidelity are valid when mine isn't? Nutjob.

The Trumpster is a JOKE and that he could be taken halfway seriously as a candidate by the wingers here or elsewhere shows just how desperate the GOP is for someone, anyone, to go for it in 2012. I want to see him run, though. I would like to see how many of those who are contending for return of this nation to its alleged "Christian nation" status would vote for as immoral and corrupt a varmint as Trump, an adulterous gambling mogul with multiple divorces who has said recently that he darkens the church door at least on Christmas and Easter and occasionally at other times when it is convenient. Is this character to become the White Knight leading the Christian right back to the "values this nation was built on"?

Give me a break.

Looks like Trump has quite a plan to deal with the debt. How many of the Trump majority here like it?

How many times had Trump gone bankrupt? If anyone can speed up the bankruptcy of the country, he can.

He's been there and came back, lots of knowledge. Our country is banktrupt now we just haven't declared it. How can a budget spend more than it did the year before and still be called a "cut"?

If he's a joke then why are you, all the other libs, and even the Obama campaign scared to death of him? I haven't seen this much derangement syndrome since Sarah Palin. When you say I would love to see him run, that tells me you're scared of him.

Quite the opposite. I would love to see him run for the same reason that I would love to see Sarah Palin run. I have enought confidence in the electorate to believe that if either of these loose cannons were to actually become a presidential candidate, it would be to the advantage of the Democrats. I have enough confidence in the intelligence of Republican leadership to believe that they will NOT permit either Palin or Trump to be on the ticket. Sensible Republicans in responsible places of leadership know how fatal it would be to run either of these blithering dingbats for president or vice president.

If Trump were to run as an independent, he would siphon far more votes away from the Republicans than from Democrats. That would not scare me at all. Trump would be to the GOP what Nader was to the Democrats in 2000. You go, Donald!

As to "derangement," kindly tell me how you determine when that is happening. Must someone post some set minumum number of posts critical of a person before your accusation of "derangement" sets in? If so, I suspect that on the public forums of this land, the greatest number of deranged persons would be those criticizing the president.

The real answer is that it is easier for you and other lightweights to accuse someone of derangement or obsession than it is to enter informed and sensible dialog on the subject under discussion. I note that in your reply to my post, you utterly failed to address the principal point I made following my observation that Trump is a joke, namely that by his life he has shown apparent disdain for values esteemed by the right wingers who seem so attracted to the prospect of his candidacy. Care to show some depth of perception and comment on that?
I consider myself a conservative Christian. However, if my life was laid out on these pages I wouldn't be able to be elected as a dogcatcher. A candidate doesn't have to have a perfect life in order to lead this country back to prosperity. If the democrats continue to lead we are headed to financial ruin. Those of us "deranged" with the president do so because he is the big chair and doing a lousy job of leading anything. The same person wear the pants in that family as they did when Willie was in office.

Jimmy, please explain to me how getting government spending uner control is not on my side. Explain to me how continued government entitlements that are moving our country toward bankruptcy is helping me. Explain how raising taxes is going to help me. Since my education doesn't allow me to read hopefully you can explin these things to me.
