bcs madness

This would have been a banner year for a 4 or 8 team playoff. Can you imagine the excitement generated over some of the matchups, w/ all the 1 loss teams in major conferences.

Al- 1 loss to a #4 team on a neutral field,
Ok- 1 loss to a #4 team on a neutral field,
Tx- 1 loss, but beat Ok
fla- l loss to an unranked team at home
and on and on.......

Yes I was hoping for an AL/TX matchup, too.

YOu reckon if we all complain enough and write the presidents of the BCS they will change it up to a play off system? Man what a wonderful game series that would be...

OR better yet let them all play their bowl games and if they win then let them play more games in a play off system... that should and could prove their moxy to be a NATIONAL CHAMPION!

The BCS match-ups should be called the BS bowls.

Who is in the Shoney's Bowl this year?

Brent Mussberger had the best idea that I've heard so far. Let each conference pick it's champion. However they decide on their champion is their business. Then take champion from each conference, and use the bowls as a playoff. Real simple. If a team is not in a conference, too bad. If they want to play, they gotta belong. They can rotate which bowl has the national championship, or bid it out. This will increase interest in lesser bowls because of the excitement of a playoff. The bowls would actually make more money this way.

A fair playoff
