THIS IS WORRYING!!!!!

Beer contains female hormones.
Last month, Wits University and RAU scientists released the results of a Recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer.

Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.

The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain Phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women .
To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour Period.
It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects :

1) Argued over nothing.
2) Refused to apologize when obviously wrong.
3) Gained weight.
4) Talked excessively without making sense.
5) Became overly emotional
6) Couldn't drive.
7) Failed to think rationally.
8) Had to sit down while urinating.

No further testing was considered necessary.

So this is a little OT, but is there a way to buy beer in containers smaller than 12 ounces? We like bread made by a recipe that uses only 3 ounces of beer, and I hate to pour out the rest of the can (nothing against drinking it, but just never developed a liking). Is it my imagination, or did beer used to come in half-size cans?

yes, they were called pony cans, but i have not seen any in a long time. haven't looked for them, though, so may have just missed them.

Thanks, hoss gal, makes me feel better to know I didn't dream them up! Didn't see them today at WalMart or the grocery store...maybe I will ask Himself to check at Chazz.

Thanks for the info, Backwoods. I wonder if Bud in bottles is more expensive than in cans, as is true with soft drinks? I'll check at Heaths and see. (Don't think lite beer will work in this recipe.)
