People get ready!  Jesus will return..... are you ready???

consider this warning Paul gave: "See then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off" (Rom. 11:22)

Jesus and I aren't unfamiliar acquaintances... God keeps His promises... so He will take me home because He loves me and I love Him.  I want that for everyone.

________

No, ma'am, He doesn't keep his promise's & I have proof of it.

I assume you're Catholic & if I'm right, we have a know it all, wanna be Preacher here, that will tell you that you're in a cult & going to Hell. (he's really a wolf in sheep's clothing)

Before you get to agreeing with him to much, don't admit to him that you're a Catholic.

A grown up who believes that the gods will come riding in on horses across the sky. Really? I'd more likely believe it if the bible spake of gods riding in on clouds in silver discs of energy. But horses?

God DOES keep His promises. If I promised I would do something but haven't done it YET, that doesn't mean I won't. If I promise I will always welcome you as a visitor in my home but I also know that if you leave right now, you will be at that bad intersection when an accident occurs, I may just tell you NOT to come until later. It may LOOK like I'm going back on my promise, but I'm just saying "wait" for your own good. And it's the same with God.

We don't know the future, and the future is eternity. When He says wait, I guarantee there is a good reason.  That's why HoD's video about perserverence is so important. If we persevere and don't lose our faith, the rewards will be WAY better than the thing we first asked Him for.

St. Sue, if you knew more about the bible you would know

more about the horses.

Well that's okay,Sue. We are all entitled to our own beliefs, of course. But there is nothing "immature" about believing in God, nor the mystery of faith. In fact, one can be a highly intellectual, self actualized individual and believe Jesus will return. Intellect and Faith are not mutually exclusive.

Even when I was a passionate believer I never accepted that goofy stuff. That said, the bible clearly states that four beings that ride out on white, red, black, and pale HORSES symbolizing Pestilence, War, Famine and Death. The horses have been riding for thousands of years, Invictus. Don't see no end of world yet. All this worry about the world ending probably gave you wrinkles. Don't worry be happy.

Semi, I know you feel cheated and abandoned. I am so sorry that you have lost faith. I've always liked you very much and hope that your prayers will be answered someday. Until then, be sure of my prayers for you. I have felt abandoned at times, betrayed- we all have. Life is a series of disappointments at times, and we learn, hurt and grow from them. Sometimes, it just sucks. Nobody would dispute that. But in suffering, we can grow closer to God. Even when Jesus was being crucified He cried from the cross "My God, why have you abandoned/forsaken" me... Point being, we have all felt that way- and I do believe there is much comfort in knowing that Gods ways are as above our ways as heaven is above the earth.... Peace to you, semi!!!!

Now that is truly funny! Sort of like that saying, "I love mankind, it's people I can't stand". Good for a laugh, but like all non-sequiters, it is basically stupid.

How about this one - "I don't believe in God and I hate Him!". That one fits you to a T.

Not so much cheated & abandoned, as deemed un-important & came to see the Bible as a lie. I'm ready to hear it if someone can prove otherwise.
Thank you for your prayers but I stopped praying years ago. You should pray for someone that is worthy & deserves it.
Happy to see you back!

That doesn't make any sense. How could you have been a passionate believer but never accepted the goofy stuff? What exactly was the goofy stuff?

You hang around here long, you'll see that I ask a lot of questions. Drives some people crazy, but if I don't ask, I won't learn.

Atheists is the plural of atheist.  Sort of like dogs is the plural of dogs, books is the plural of book, and y'all is the plural of you.

Let's get this straight, OK?

So you're saying it's more than one atheist.

I know there is at least four horseses.

No it doesn't make sense but every single Christian I've ever known, including me, feels that way about certain parts of the bible. No, I cannot explain it and I won't even try.I can only say that It makes MUCH more sense when you realize it's all goofy stuff mixed with a bit of history and ancient ideas of morality. Now I'm a little peeved that it took me so long to realized I was scammed. Hubby is coming along but still hold on to the goofy.

I hate no one. Especially fictional characters from stone age documents. . . .OK, I don't much care for my mother in law. Don't know if I'd call it "hate" but she was abusive to hubby so I wish she were dead. Is that "hate"?

Well, wanting someone dead can be considered hateful.   I'm thinking you don't really want her dead, just out of your's and hubby's life.  Most mothers who abuse their children  can't continue the same type of abuse once their child is an adult. So the abusive mother makes her abuse more covert. Like emotional blackmail..... Mothers or a mother in law  (sometimes) turn into emotional vampires.

DF someone said there is no such thing as an atheist but a person in a confused state or better yet in infinite states between believing and not believing or in a state of 'superposition,' also, when defined as being in a superposition and if ask as what that position is, the answer to the question cannot preclude asking another question as to the position. I'm certain it was Buffalo.
