Tonight I had the best French Dip sandwich that I've had in the area to date.  I've tried many different places from Arby's for the typical, Beef and Swiss sandwich to Lennys' and some of the other places like Applebees, Chilis and that like but the best tasting French Dip sandwich, in my opinion, came from Mama Goldbergs in Muscle Shoals.

Like Mama Goldberg's.  Usually have their Reuben, when I'm cheating on heart healthy.  No crème soda, though.

Tried the French Dip at Mama Goldbergs.  From the imprint on the bread, it appears they use a waffle type iron press.  That probably helps seal the met juices into the bread.  Very good, should have requested a bit more au jus dipping sauce. Not, their fault.

Oops ... I should have mentioned that.  Actually I'm averaging 50/50 with the au jus as the last two times I've managed to get a good healthy (plentiful) amount and another where it was indistinguishable from a ramekin full.  I'm thinking prepare ahead, just in case, and ask for plenty.
