I have tried Sparky's and didn't care for their hot dogs, they use the "pink" ones that a lot of others like but I don't, I also tried the Chicago Dog from Sonic, the bun was stale and not steamed, too much poppy seed, and the relish was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too sweet.
Didn't there used to be a Chicago-themed restaurant on the Mobile Street Plaza in downtown Florence? Is it still there? I never got a chance to go, but seems like I heard that they specialized in hot dogs. Maybe I dreamed that. For my money, I was always a fan of both Bunyan's and Trowbridge's.
If any of you are ever here in Chattanooga, I suggest a place called "Good Dog" on the North S****. Definitely one of the best dogs I've ever eaten. There's also something about the dogs at a baseball game (along with an ice cold beer, of course).
The place on Mobile Plaza is still there, never had their hot dogs though.

I would say to anyone going to Chattanooga to try Good Dog, but I wasn't impressed. I hope everyone else has a better experience than me. I was kinda let down. Try it anyway...local places are cool.
