The Salon article articulated an extremely accurate view of the left's extreme hatred of the US , its foundation and entire history.

Thanks, Contenduhh, for a reminder of why, despite all evidence to the contrary, conservatives must continue the struggle.  The author doesn't understand the difference between the Scottish Enlightenment  (which reconciled science and reason with religion) and the French Enlightenment.  The first resulted in the American War for Independence, the Constitution, plus Bill of Rights, and the strongest economy and military prowess in history.   The second resulted in the French revolution, government by terror (their term) , multiple governments vying for who could behead the most, resulting in a emperor who wrecked Europe and killed millions. 

If, the meme advocated in Salon became truth, its a toss up whether the Germans of WWII or the even more murderous Soviet Union would have prevailed. 

I guess, you should be proud.
