Newman's Own Sockarooni "Industrial Strength" Spaghetti Sauce is excellent for those who like it a bit spicy.

Grandessa Italian Sausage & Peppers is good also. Get it at Aldi. The Grandessa like of sauces is very good for the price. Heck, they are good period, irrespective of the price. Their Italian Sausage & Peppers has big chunks of sausage in it--more than you would expect in a store-bought sauce.
O do a little of both:

(1) can of Hunts' pasta sauce
(1) quart of homegrown canned tomatoes
(3) tsp of minced garlic
(1) T of oregano
(1) T of Italian seasoning
(1) medium diced onion
(3) stalks of celery, diced
(1) pint of freshly sliced mushrooms
(1) tsp of cracked red pepper

Bring to a boil, then turn down low and simmer for 1 hour (or longer). Add cracked black pepper and salt to taste.
