I smell a revenue scam.. why else would the end result always cost a day or 2's worth of pay? Because they know that's how much they can take without hurting us too bad to eat and still buy gas to drive to work. so they can slap another ticket on that behind.
It's predatory law enforcement.. nothing more, nothing less.
Whatever does it have to do with perpetual law breakers? a radar gun doesn't discriminate. the cops do

Here's a heads up for you...DRIVERS NOT BREAKING THE LAW WILL NOT BE TICKETED. Traffic tickets are not a revenue producer for municipal governments, the State of Alabama regulates what portion of a fine the city keeps. Check with city traffic court if you would like to verigy this information.

Speed traps give them the opportunity to profile and to pick and choose who they write the tickets to.. Too many variables.. are they profiling and ticketing according to what type of vehicle somebody is driving? what race the driver may be? are they ticketing more men than women? Are they pulling people over with an ulterior agenda altogether? Most likely they do it to collect a few thousand dollars off the backs of the working folks on their way to work.

Much more to this stuff than if you are breaking the law you may get a ticket..

Nope, CHT, they do it to make the streets and highways safer. If you profiled the demographics of speeding tickets your would quickly discover nothing is more fair because violators come from every age group, ethnic background, gender, old cars, new cars, rich and poor. The only number that counts to the law enforcement officer is the one that pops up in the "electronic detection device".

Believe what you want, knock yourself out with grudges, create all types of rational as to why "cops" get entertainment and money out or tickets, BUT you've still got it wrong. I don't think many officers take pleasure in issuing a violation and resultant fine. Next time you get "singled out" for a ticket, take it to traffic court and fight it, even appeal it to the next level. I am sure with your powers of persuation you can probably beat the charge.
That's not always true either Gramms.. The cops around here are not above making up the law as they go.

Anybody can say what they want.. but,
what is the bottom line at the end of the day? It's all about relieving the citizens of our hard earned cash.
The gov has gotten into my pockets bad enough lately. I don't need some kid hiding behind a tree spying on me to see if they can steal more of my money for some minor infraction of some stupid law.
