Note: This is not concerning American Family Radio.

Harold Camping says:
1) Christ died twice. Once before the foundation of the world. Once on the cross as a symbol of the first death. The first death is the one that paid for sins. If so, why would He allow all those animal sacrifices? Is God REALLY that cruel?

2) Everyone who has ever and will ever receive salvation had their salvation chosen by God before the foundation of the world. There is nothing we can do that will change the status of our salvation. We're either saved or we aren't. We won't really know until we die, but we're supposed to live in fellowship with God, regardless. This one is just too stupid to warrant a reply right now.

3) Hell is merely the grave. When you die, if you're not chosen by God, your Hell is the grave. That's it. You cease to exist. I'll leave this one alone right now, too. I'll wait for comments.

4) The Great Tribulation has been going on already and Judgment Day is May 21, 2011 and will occur on the same day as The Battle of Armageddon. Jesus made it very plain that "no man knows the hour" He'll return. There's no room for any further interpretation, Mr. Camping. There are no more revelations, no more prophecies, and no one should add to or take away from the Scriptures.

He's said more idiotic things, but I'll stop my list for now. Again, beware of false teachings.
I'm right 97% of the time. Who cares about the other 4%?!?

1. Christ existed before God did? Don't think so.

2. The Calvin approach. Nope.

3. No punishment, no burning in Hades for all eternity? So if you're chosen, you get harps and ambrosia; if not, nothing happens. Your life just ends. Well then what's the point in being good?

4. Well if judgment day is 5-21-2011, then we don't have to worry about 12-21-2012. What a relief. Big Grin
Hi Tomme,

Yes, Camping does teach a twisted theology. And, of course Deep would vote for him, for he misleads many people.

I will never forget the first time I heard him on the radio. My wife and I were driving back from Sacramento -- and looking for a Christian station, I happened upon Camping. After a couple of minutes listening to his twisted theology -- I asked myself and my wife, "Who is this character?"

Since then I have learned a lot more about him and would not recommend him or his theology to anyone.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
