Scott,

There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don't have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues. No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.

In my nearly 36 years of public service I've known of a few like you. No doubt you will "clean up" as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, "Biting The Hand That Fed Me." Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years.

I have no intention of reading your "exposé" because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job. That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively. You're a hot ticket now but don't you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?

BOB DOLE

Way to go Bob. Proud of you.

Since this miserable creature crawled out from under his rock a few days ago, my first thought was that if McClellan did see issues that amounted to a crime (which I don't think he did), he's guilty of complicity himself for not doing something about them at the time that he witnessed them.

Which adds to my conviction that he's just a egotistical liar looking for a payday at somebody elses expense.
Do you think Dick Morris told the truth about Slick Willie in his book 'Off With Their Heads"? Do you think he was spineless and only did what got himself good "pole numbers"? Why didn't he take care of Osama when he was given at least 3 separate chances?
If you think Scott is telling the truth, then Dick Morris is too.
Its amusing that no one is refuting McClellands remarks - they are just mad at him for making them.

As for Dick Morris and his remarks about President Clinton - who cares? Dick Morris was not the Press Secretary. Besides all that jibberish, we are talking about the difference between going to war and investigating someones sex life and lying under oath. Big dif.

His claims are still being researched.

Morris worked for Mike Huckabee, Trent Lott and William Weld among many other Republicans as well as Democrats. Still, I could care less. He was indeed a sleaze bag, convicted moron. But he is not the issue - that one has been fully investigated and properly examined several years ago. We have newer more tasty morsels before us at the moment.

The Press Secretary is the spokesperson for the President. He/she is the official voice of the Commander and Chief and must have some level of confidence. McClelland is, for what ever reason, a high profile turncoat on a mission. I really do not care what his reason, I am just glad hes doing it. I hear he will be the guest of Tim Russert tomorrow. I hope they "research" his claims extensively, keep him in the press and before the cameras indefinitely.

Well, you know little of government public affairs offices.

Lol.....Of course - I am not on your side. I think the following is a pretty good definition of the job of Press Secretary. "The White House Press Secretary is a senior White House official with a rank one step below Presidential Cabinet level. The Press Secretary is the primary spokesperson for the Administration". PRIMARY SPOKESPERSON for an administration - I understand what that means. Do you?

Look it up boys - its online.

Will you promise to leave the US like Susan Sarandon if McCain wins the election?? Just like all those other stars who promised to leave if Bush won. Unfortunately, they are all still here.

Of course not! I actually agree with McCain on many issues. Hes fairly moderate and he likes to twist the nips of the Religious fanatics.

Who's message was Scott putting out? The acting President of the United States and he was lying.

So you have reminded us for so long with no proof.

It's not been proven that Bush knew the intel he had received was in error, and that he lied, or he would have already been impeached and out of office. More than one commander has acted on intel that turned out to be incorrect. Remember Operation Market Garden?
I guess we will find out more and more about what is true and what is not. I am interested to find out about the truth where Valerie Plame is concerned. Sounds like the acting president had a roll all the while saying he was going to find out who was involved. All of this continues to place bush's credibility in question and further weakens him. I will settle for his disgrace - anything else is just gravy.

Read above boys.

I am so amused by the cheerleaders for the cheerleader. Quivering little chins, clenched fists, standing as straight as they can as they hear that their slumped shouldered leader has yet again suffered a public slap down from, of all people, his personal spokesperson - one of the Texas group he "brung" with him no less. In the face of such an embarrassment they suddenly attack the messenger - his earlier messages were all truth of course. Now they are all lies. Now to learn that Scott really knew nothing and was something close to the girl who answers the phone at the church. Boy, the job of Official Spokesperson for the President of the United States sure sounds important. Guess not. Or could it be they are just desperately trying to discredit a snitch. Nah, thats not it.

Dick Morris is a premier Sleaze Bag. We loved the photos of him sucking the toes of his hooker girlfriend. I'm sure his wife loved seeing them, too.

Af far as Scott McClellan, like him or not, he has written a truthful, expose. I agree that he should have resigned earlier, just like Tony Snow did when he realized what a sleazey, lying administration was occupying the White House. Tony has principles, and it was always evident that he was pained when he had to stand before reporters and spin the lies he was being paid to tell. Of course, he went from Fox News to the Bush White House, so it was not much of a leap from one slimy operation to another one. His training at Fox for telling lies and distorting the truth served him well as Press Secretary.
