First the health bill is too long because it is 1990 pages it was too long to read, now John Boehner is stating the bill is TOO short. John Boehner DEMANDED a conference with the white house on health care when one was planned he doesn't know what it will be, where it will be how big the room would be (amazing) AND wanted it to be televised now he says it will be a
"political" event. Republican ideas MUST BE INCLUDED, and are shown so on the White House web site and now Boehner wants to scrap the entire bill. A John Boehner divided against itself cannot stand and they have reserved 4 seats at the conference for each John Boehner with 2 faces. This is like debating with Sybil.

The Republicans are just playing the obstruction game and of course sling mud. It's all they can do, they have nothing to offer but failure so they are trying to tie up Obama who is bending over backward so far to please them he has alienated his progressive base.

So their stratagey would seem to be working but as I say they have nothing to offer the American people.

FINALLY, a hall of famer who isn't a teabagger. I
agree with you 100% and that is why I think the dems need to pass EVERYTHING through reconciliation from now until the end of the year. We need some redneck yellow dogs in Congress who aren't afraid to fight!

Pogo, from one of your favorite people:

"In the meantime, the White House will continue to ignore Republican reform ideas and cast the GOP as the party of no. That’s a hard sell considering that Democrats still hold the majority in the House and Senate. The only real “gridlock” preventing Democrats from doing what they want is the very real threat of America's voice being heard at the ballot box."

Jon Stewart: Say, didn’t Bush get bills passed with fewer Senate votes?
posted at 3:55 pm on January 19, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

Stewart does a masterful job in wringing laughs out of liberal disaster through this entire clip, so watch the whole thing and enjoy. The most incisive point comes at about the seven-minute mark, when Stewart questions why the Obama agenda dies when Democrats go from 60 to 59 votes in the Senate. Stewart notes that the man castigated by the Left as a chimp and an idiot, Barack Obama’s predecessor George W. Bush somehow managed to get his agenda through Congress with fewer votes:

And the reason it will die … [pauses for effect] … Let’s continue … The reason it will die is because if Coakley loses, Democrats will only then have an eighteen-vote majority in the Senate. Which is more than George W. Bush ever had in the Senate, when he did whatever the f*** he wanted to do! [Applause] In fact, the Democrats have a greater majority than the Republicans have had since 1923! But for Democrats, apparently a majority of 100 is … sixty.
See video at site.

LOL.

Of course you agree with Pogo, he's just one step away from coming out of his socialist closet. Enjoy his company salad tosser.

The number of pages is not the issue. It doesn't matter if it is two pages or 10,000. The CBO can't score it because 1) it doesn't have enough detail and 2) it is not written using legislative language. It is a publicity stunt, just like today's health summit.

I know, I know, I'm a **** and a **** and a ****. Yawn...
