per wikipedia (yeah i know, its just wikipedia)

150,000 people die per day * 4 days = 600,000.
600,000 / 6,809,700,000 people = 0.0000881 over 4 days.
that would mean 8 people die at bonnaroo over 4 days just to meet the world average, which is waaaayyyy over the average for the event.

If my math is off, someone please let me know.
It's not that large a gathering and it has always amazed me that people seem to expect the deaths.

Does someone die at every Super Bowl?

I would think that the death rate you quote would have variables attached to it. People don't always just drop dead, so at any point there are people who are sickening and dying.

I think we can assume that people who get up and go to an event like Bonnaroo or the Super Bowl are not sick unto death when they leave home.

People feel well enough to get to Bonnaroo and then they are picked up dead at the end. One death annually is a high death rate for a gathering like that.

I'm not saying people shouldn't go and I'm not blaming the organizers. Maybe this year no one will croak.
