First off let me start out by wishing coach bowden all the luck in the world...i've been following UNA football all the way back to mickey andrews era...and the last time i checked the name of a coach or the name of a team(alabama just to utah)has ever won the first football game...so folks just cause his name is bowden doesn't mean he's gonna win every football game he coaches...i hope he does..but i've heard about enough of this character and integrity thing coming from UNA'a administration...are they trying to imply our former coach or the other coaches that applied didn't have any character? maybe none of our administration were in the state of alabama in the late 90's when coach bowden left auburn under not so great circumstances...players having discipline problems..walking out on his team midway thru the season...signing a gag order not to say anything bad about auburn..plus some other allegations that were not very flattering..i'm not saying our former coach or any of the other applicants are perfect...but if my memory serves me right anytime their was a problem at UNA, coach Hud handled it with class and character...so come on AD and President lets get off this character crap...it's a little insulting to coach Hud and the other applicants that applied for the job...and before you start bashing me i'm not knocking coach bowdens character..just using it as an example...i'm sure he's done some things he would like to change, as we all have..so lets move on...

I may be wrong but I think the "character" reference was just standard PR lingo for the statement to the press.

Since you brought it up; I've always wondred why the the TB agreed to the gag order. I've always assumed there were things both parties did not want to make public.

But that water under the bridge. I'm behind TB 100% until he gives me a reason not to be.

GO LIONS!!!

I can't wait till we can play Troy and Jack State again.
