Sassy, let’s be sensible here. If you are so interested in a cemetery that is mowed twice a month and paid for by the owner. Why are you constantly bashing the owner and her representatives? That’s not going to bode well with the owner. You have fell in with a mentality such as the bald guy that has no cultural interest in anything especially the affluent of Florence.

The cemetery is clean as a pin. Your intention of killing someone on private property with a dead-fall is preposterous. I don’t think anyone I’ve seen out there has the liability insurance or know how to risk lives in a drill of insanity. This is private property and I can assure you the owner is not going to allow anyone without notarized credentials proper liability coverage, workers compensation and armed with a state general contractors license and in hand a scope of work, plans and specifications, a performance bond executed by a restoration architect to touch anything in that cemetery.

Further it has been rumored that certain persons, not associated with the owner or her representatives, have solicited sizeable sums of money from private donors in the name of the owner which is fraudulent.

If that is the case I suspect a writ is in order to cause such intentions be brought to the attention of the publick trust with due regard at the hand of an auditor and such provisions privy to the State Attorney General.

 

 

Well tell us, Magpie, who are these people? Road Puppy is right, but if I wanted to help with a historic building and a committee member asked me if I knew "Devil Girl" I would back away slowly and report the incident to the sheriff. No, he can't do anything about it but make a report, but the report is there for future reference if this or these committee members committed a violent act at any time.

 

I've lived in this area all my life and never knew such insanity existed until I heard about the  people who own and control SW. Don't you think if anyone wanted to steal they would go to a restored home or a new home with something really worth pawning for drugs? sheesh. And from what I've read here it's not about the family part of the cemetery, but where small tombstones are for servants' graves. A large man could probably pick one up with his hands. It seems they just want to ID graves and clean up. Why not let them. Isn't that the point? Or is it to put a title after your name? Yeah, I think I'll agree to be somebody's housekeeper for free if I can put a title after my name.

Lot's of talk and even jokes here but from what I've read there are two legit issues.

1. If they advertise all money is going to restoration and any goes to property tax, etc., they can and WILL lose their license to hold tours for money/donations. This should be reported to the City of Florence license dept.

2. Report the owner to the IRS. If she has paid taxes on the funds coming in, she should be able to show it.

This may sound strange but I'm really not concerned for any of the poor bas tar ds who lived there or that is buried there unless they might be some of the craftsmen who laid stone on stone  the brick, the finish and the wood work there.The cemetery? As to the cemetery; untouched and in disarray, in upheaval, left as is, it is a testimony to someone’s deeds.

With Lee Freeman help I found John Henry Patton was also buried in the Sweetwater Cemetery ( Brahan - Patton Cemetery. <> I WAS WRONG <> back in the 1990s I ask     William Lindsey               Mc DONALD about where the Patton's was buried. He say all was  in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama But Charles Hays Patton was in the Florence Cemetery.<> Again I was Wrong <>

What is up with Sweetwater Mansion's facebook page? All they do is talk about someone they never name and act like people are trying to break in. Whoever is running that page has the intelligence and grammatical skills of trained chimpanzee. Is it supposed to be funny?

Her name is DJ. She is a total cookoo nest just like the director. Have you seen the post she put on sweetwater's facebook page about ask Dr. DJ? I think she studies herself when it comes to psychopathy. She is always acting paranoid when questions are asked on there. People just want to know where their money is going.I became sweetwater's friend on facebook to hear updates on the renovation progress and everytime I get on facebook my wall is full of drama from them.
