No place like iHop for breakfast!! Wish one would come back to this area.

You need to tell us where Perkins is! Semi, do you know where Perkins is? My favorite breakfast place is at the computer with a Thomas bagel(best I can do), cream cheese, premium strawberry preserves, a cup of good old Folgers, and Don Imus in the background. Shoes and shirt not required! LOL!

I have already checked out Perkins locations. There is not one in AL. Why would you even bring it up? Your location answers the next question I was going to ask.

Hmm. My ol' neck o' the woods. Yeah Jersey's a bit of a hike from here for a bagel. As it is, I gotta ride to Columbia, TN for the nearest Dunkin's.

One can only take so much biscuits and gravy...

The website I found said there were none within 50 miles of here and the first listing, alphabetically, was for one in Alberta, Canada. This was a company website. So, I assume you found a later website.

The omlettes at Perkins excellent, my favorite is ham and chedder cheese with a side order of both bacon and susage. well done home fries with a toasted bagel...

I also like the french toast a lot at IHOP, but for omlettes, Perkins is still my top pick...

My favorite place to have breakfast is Starbucks.

Bagels, like English muffins, are overrated.

Every bodies taste buds are different, I personally like we toasted Thomas english muffins a lot...

you couldn't pay me to go to a starbucks. their coffe tastes like burnt 10W/30.

my fav breakfast place is my kitchen.

i've had ihop. they're ok. i've had denny's. they's ok. ihop with stupid menu names. i've had waffle house. great coffee, ok food.

i've had french toast all over the shoals area, parts of huntsville, nashville and once at disney in orlando.

mine beats them all, hands down, no contest.

so unless i'm just not in the mood to do breakfast, i stay home, cause i'm better than they are

IHOP is definitely the best. Their eggs benedict is good, and they know how to cook bacon crisp without burning it

Country Boys is really good and they have good prices. I got a combo plate for breakfast one time and got a pancake on the side. Wish I hadn't cause I couldn't eat more than a few bites because it was almost bigger around than the plate it was on. Good stuff. Ask for chocolate gravy with the biscuits instead of the regular. Cracker Barrels breakfast tastes a bit better to me (and has better bacon), but is a little more pricey.

I have a coffee grider. Use the Eight o Clock Columbian Beans. Nothing like it!!! mmmm

We've got a place called The Egg & I in Hoover. I ate there this morning. They're only open until 2:00 in the afternoon; they serve mainly breakfast and a few salads. It's good.

Cracker Barrel - great breakfast! Tourway Inn also has great breakfast (i still think they are way overdue for remodeling). Waffle House has pretty good breakfast. And there is always Shoney's breakfast bar!

I am always on the prowl for good pancakes. I cannot make a decent one to save my life!

I have to vote for IHOP as my number 1A breakfast place but I also love Cracker Barrel so I'll put it in #1B and since due to poor management the Florence IHOP Closed I just don't usually feel like driving to Decatur just for Breakfast.

Considering the local restaurants my choices are usually
Cracker Barrel or Bojangles depending on mood and how much I care to spend followed by Waffle House. I go for non-smoking so stick to Florence for the Waffle House. I've also heard, but haven't tried myself, that Staggs makes a great breakfast.

I know there are others .. Tourway, Hardees, McDonalds, Country Boys, and Jacks but I do so miss IHOP but know they will never open another venture here in the Shoals.

Staggs has great breakfast biscuits.
