Yep, he not only said it but he was really getting on people for asking him about it. Apparently from what I read there is a lot of character difference between Izzo and Saban. Both are excellent coaches in their game, but Izzo is a pretty friendly family guy and Saban is, well "Saban".

Unfortunately coaches like Saban and Petrino have lied so much and left so many bodies lying in their wake that their names have become verbs among college football fans - verbs that are synonymous with "lying".

We'll see about Izzo. Honestly other than a truckload of money (we're talking 4 mil here) there is no way on God's green Earth that Izzo would walk away from MSU to come to UA.

Yeah, who in their right mind would want to leave beautiful East Lansing, Michigan? Smiler
OK now I'm really upset! Link

How dare Bama continue to interview coaching candidates that are employed at other schools when it is an established fact that they have already reached an agreement with Tom Izzo!!! This is shameless, and it is obviously an attempt to look like they actually considered a minority candidate (roll over, George Wallace, roll over). Unless, of course, the Tide Times has it wrong and Tom Izzo is not coming to T-town (cough, cough), but that's inconceivable. Everyone knows that UA is the be-all, end-all for any coach in any sport...
