Yes, that is a Colt Delta Elite 10mm Auto pistol....alacharger beat me to the punch on some of the info. Heub gave a good link.

Colt still makes firearms, although they split into two seperate companies. Colt's Manufacturing makes the commercial guns; Colt's Defense LLC makes the military weaponry.

Colt brought out the Delta Elite in about 1987. Enhanced along with the rest of the 1911 line in 1992. 10mm dropped about 1995 or so.

Delta Gold Cups are going up, up, up....etc. Kimber makes a 10mm Auto pistol now...nice gun.
Only other 10mm Auto pistols in current production are Glock (M20 and their compact model) and EAA Witness. Those are the only 3 I know of as of now...S&W used to have the M610 revolver and the M1000 series (1006, 1026, 1046, 1066, 1076, 1086), but those are dropped as well.

I shot some stout 10mm Auto loads through my Bren Ten a week ago at an indoor gun range. The flash was so great, I quit after only 20 rounds. It was Remington 180-grain, green and white box. I try to stay around 1000 FPS or less when shooting my Bren Ten as is is so valuable. Right now on Gunbroker, someone has a chromed Bren Ten like mine, 2 chromed mags and manual. Min bid: $2000.
