Well goober, I have made many mistakes and forgotten a bunch of stuff but, if I had been shot down in a helicopter in Iraq, I think that I would remember that distinctly.  His job is to report the news, he lied and has been lying for years.  He got caught.

Yep she did but, you have to give her a pass on that.  She is a politician, it's in her job description to lie.

Really??? Forgetting to pick up  the milk is believable.  Forgetting you were shot down in a helicopter not so much.

Road pup sure didn't forget about his shootout with the Latin Kings whilst piloting his bullet/car proof Harley down a mean piece of road.  That's a memory to cherish right there.

I'd thought he said his copter was shot, not shot down. He'd been so many places, done so many things. I guess I just thought he'd made an honest mistake.

All along, he's just a man with feet of clay. I can see what he said angering soldiers.

As he is a Liberal all he has to do is click his heels three times while turning in a circle and saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" and the media and fellow Democrats and Liberals will forgive him and forget the whole matter. As an example I submit Bill Clinton's testimony before a Grand Jury at which while giving testimony under oath he lied. Al Sharpton has not paid taxes that the rest of us would have ended up hanging by our thumbs till we paid it, Hillary telling the world she and Chelsa had been shot at when they landed overseas. As long as a Liberal lies for the Liberal cause they are excused and voted into office.

The biggest thing against sharpton is he insists that the rich do not pay their fair share of taxes and then does not pay himself.

Nancy Snyderman broke her own Ebola quarantine for a bite to eat - now Brian Williams 'remembers' being on the helo that was hit by an RPG instead of being on another helo on the mission.

As others said, I cant see you forgetting the facts around being shot at in a helo.  Yes, the group of helos he was with took enemy fire, and that was a good enough story as is, why he had to embellish the story I dont understand.  In one discussion, he was talking about remembering their air speed and altitude, but he forgot which helo he was on?

And they talk about Fox News making stuff up......

T\Dan Rather, the paragon of journalistic veracity come to the rescue.

“I don’t know the particulars about that day in Iraq. I do know Brian. He’s a longtime friend and we have been in a number of war zones and on the same battlefields, competing but together. Brian is an honest decent man, an excellent reporter and anchor–and a brave one. I can attest that--like his predecessor Tom Brokaw--he is a superb pro, and a gutsy one.”

Another lying liar

This will go the same way all things with the liberal media goes. A little dust up, then they are right back to changing the news to suit them, making up the news, altering tapes and putting their spin on things, attacking Republicans and crying about Fox news. Katie Couric, my gosh! Announcer-"tonight katie interviews a man that lost his entire family to murder" Katie-"What did you do when you found out? Were you upset? Did you cry"?

Yes, look what happened to these two when they lied. Hillary has told a few more whoppers since then, and they want to put her in the oval office.

-----------------------------

Williams’ apology, in which he insisted he’d “misremembered” the details of the events, prompted comparisons to Hillary Clinton, who came down with her own case of the misrememberings while on the campaign trail in 2008.

In a speech, as well as a number of interviews, the then-presidential candidate recalled having to run from sniper fire with her daughter, Chelsea, upon arriving in war-torn Bosnia in 1996. It was a dramatic anecdote, and one that seemed to back up the foreign policy experience Clinton said she’d gained during her eight years as first lady. That story also, however, raised some eyebrows from the media, and it wasn’t long before video of the Bosnia trip was unearthed to counter Clinton’s account.

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” Clinton had said of the Bosnia trip during a campaign speech in Washington. “There was supposed to be some kind of greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

Yet the video showed a much calmer version of events, with Clinton and her daughter walking from their plane to a tension-free ceremony on the tarmac. When confronted with the inconsistencies, Clinton said:

“So I made a mistake. That happens. It proves I’m human, which, you know, for some people is a revelation.”

Then-Sen. Barack Obama used the Bosnia embellishment to challenge his Democratic opponent’s foreign policy experience. And while Clinton went on to lose the nomination, the scandal didn’t prevent Obama from appointing her secretary of state once he was elected.

Former Sen. Tom Harkin was caught, not once but twice, in his own campaign-trail yarn. First during his 1984 Senate run and again while making a bid for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination, the details of Harkin’s military service were scrutinized.

Although Harkin, a Navy vet, had previously claimed to have spent a year in Vietnam as a combat pilot, a skeptical Wall Street Journal eventually got Harkin to admit that he was never stationed in Vietnam during the war, but rather in Japan, and occasionally flew recently repaired aircraft on test missions in and out of the embattled country. Harkin did not make it past the 1992 Democratic primaries, losing to fresh-faced Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton. But his career was hardly over. He retired this year after three decades in the Senate.

Supposedly, Williams is also now being investigated for alleging:

1. He saw a floating body in the French Quarter during Katrina.

2. He caught dysentery during Katrina.

3. He was robbed at gunpoint as a young man selling Christmas trees for charity in his hometown of Red Bank, New Jersey.

4. (I don't know if this is a joke or not) He saved a puppy while serving as a volunteer firefighter during an early reporting assignment.

LOL, he's right were he needs to be.  Last I heard, his bosses have no intention of disciplining him.  Fox News wouldn't hire him, but CNN probably would and MSNBC would hire him with a big fat raise.

Jank, not following you. Just like to expose progressive cluelessness.  I'm sorry you fail to comprehend my posts -- most do.  The fault does not lie with me.
