budget needs revenue

article in paper says Gov. may need to raise taxes to cover budget. this is going to be a theme across the nation. first control our money like we do with our personal budgets. second cut back on govt. employee benefits, why do they get more holidays, vacation, and retirement than the private sector? why does the govt. employ 5 employees when private sector would only employee 2.5? why do we here social security is running out of money while welfare grows? it is time (was long ago) for our elected officials to make good decisions.

To be fair to the state and local crooks, it's hard to get the taxes they need to cover the federal mandates and squander on normal state graft with the economy we have. Obama supporters like to point out the rise in employment numbers, but individual Americans might be working 2-3 of those post Obamadon'care part time jobs while supporting dependents who left the workforce.
