My own prediction, and comparing to what we already have spent, it will be much much much more than that!!!

If all that war money went to our children, there wouldn't be any hungry kids, no kids without college educational funds, and our very own economy would be doing MUCH MUCH MUCH better.

Bush/Cheney and Company has drained American resources in every way possible... and the draining just keeps on going... on ... and on.... and on... and on.

Here's a quote for you

"What is objectionable, what is dangerous, about extremists is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents. "

There is merit to that quote Nash... But this post has validity also.. Our kids and grandkids will suffer the losses due to this war, and there STILL is no cause for it... none that Bush can explain with a straight face, anyway.

I just hate that my grandkids will have to suffer for the Big Business, FAT CAT, warmongers... makes me wanna throw up!
I disagree. Anything from an extremist propaganda site, left or right, has no validity. People who get their information from capitol hill blue, moveon.org and their right wing counterparts are unable to form their own ideas about issues. They go to other people to form opinions for them and mindlessly regurgitate the misconstrued information so they can feel intelligent. They become defensive when called out and will ultimately prove that they have no original thought. People who have extremist point of views are very sad in my opinion, and it's an opinion I have formed on my own.

Yes, you go girl!
Just don't forget some of that money could go to help provide health care, and re-build some of the infrastructure in this country. Don't ya' wished Bush loved this country as much as he does Iraq?

I didn't say I agree or disagree with anything, I made a point by posting a quote and you proved it right. Thank you.

By the way, the quote was from Robert Kennedy.

Obviously you're telling us that anything we read out side of the Corporate Media's "Official Story" is propaganda. Just like the former Soviet Union.

But the independent press has shown to be more reliable then the official corporate media which just parrots the Bush administration. There were no WMD and the war has been a failure from the start. The alternative press kept saying this but was dismissed. They were right and the corporate media pundits were wrong. Why are these stupid propagandists still on TV and why does anybody still listen to them?

People forget but the Media never questioned Bush's lies and kept a rosy scenario of the war until it was just ridiculous to deny the failures any longer. I knew that would happen because they must maintain credibility. It's just one lie after another.

People attack the alternative sites because they are the truth and the corporate media does not prepare them to face the truth, It's like I say, you won't get the answers from the Corporate Media. They frame issues very narrowly. Those who rely on the corporate media live in a phony bubble and they keep leading them around in circles. First the war is about WMD and now it's about bringing democracy to Iraq. Even though Bush denied them elections for over a year, close to 2 years (I think it is) until Sistani brought thousands in to the street and threatened an uprising of the Siihite that Bush bent and gave them elections. Do YOU even question how the story keeps changing?

The first thing Bremmer did after Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" was rewrite the Iraqi Constitution to privatize Iraqi's oil and it's other industries. A corporate looting of the country.

If you have some disagreement with a statement or opinion then state it and let's debate the merits and the facts.Have a nice day!

NashBama, You're right, the origin of the word propoganda is from the Roman Catholic College of Propoganda that was, and still is, spreading the word of God.

Propoganda, to be effective, has to have some truth, and credibility. PROBLEM, there is some truth in this statement. "Americans are murdering innocent Iraqis." There is also some truth in "Iraqis are murdering Americans."

TAKE A SIDE, CHOOSE WHO TO MURDER, BASED ON THOSE TWO STATEMENTS, BOTH TRUE.
I agree that the mainstream media is biased, there really isn't a truly objective media outlet. However, Capitol Hill Blue.com is a very biased source, no different than Town Hall.com. Both sites are not reliable as news because they are opinionated by the left or the right. You can't get accurate information if you only look at one side. Copy and pasting extreme left wing articles does not prove any point, it just weakens your own credibility.

I think you are blind in one eye if not both, your own credibility proves to me, if its not from the right wing then its a lie,and I disagree with that!

Kindred, the budget proposal is to be for spending OVER 2.9 trillion dollars.

Washington Post

President Bush sent to Congress a $2.9 trillion budget plan that would dramatically increase military spending -- including an extra $245 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan -- but squeeze federal health care programs and most domestic agencies to achieve his goal of eliminating the deficit by 2012.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/20...AR2007020500208.html

Somehow, balancing the budget during a war, by cutting health care programs seems IMMORAL.

Go back and actually read my posts, it's clear haven't read what I've said. We're talking about two completely different things.
