On 911, I was scared, not because I was in the AH-64D Longbow Apache battalion in 3ID and knowing soon we would be going to who knew where, but of the following:
911 happens, then Yassir Arafat and his crazy goons uprise all over Israel with Hezbollah coming down from Lebanon, Iraq invades Kuwait again, North Korea attacks all along the DMZ in Korea, and PRC attacks Taiwan....the US is tied up and can't do anything but nuke.
What scares me today: PDRK invades ROK, PRC invades Taiwan, Iran nukes Israel or vice versa causing Armageddon, and Palestine lets loose with Hezbollah come down from Lebanon with Syrian help. All this coordinated. This world is dangerous. Our dollars in debt owned by the PRC (called T-bills, Treasury Bills-that is US debt), the Panama Canal is going to be run by PRC, Hugo Chavez is fixing to take over Castro as the goon of Latin America, and the illegals are flooding our country.
Yet, you have the Britney Spears and K-Feds/Fed_EX's of the USA not caring about what is going on...people buying and selling houses at inflated prices to where the market bubble will burst....etc.....SOmeone is going to want to collect on that debt, and fiat money won't do...you will have to pay in gold or platinum. I just don't think the US has the checks that can cover it.....What a mess.
It's good to see you thinking, really good to see you thinking.
Now, as to what you are thinking. WHY DID BUSH NOT THINK WHAT YOU THOUGHT. Clinton Did, with the first WTC attack, the embassy bombings and the Cole. What Clinton did was CRACK A WHIP, WHERE HE KNEW THE TERRORISTS WOULD SEE IT HAPPEN. It did not work, and When Bush invaded Afghanistan...THE TERROR ATTACKS STOPPED COLD. Now that was a big move, supported by about 45 other nations, most of whom are still there, right alongside the US forces.
NOW, BRENTENMAN, BUSH HAD A SUCCESS ON HIS HANDS. He let it fail. He did not get Bin Laden, He did not pursue the Terrorists He changed targets. ...HE STARTED A (EXPLITIVE DELETED) WAR IN IRAQ. This has to have been the most idiotic military blunder since Napoleon invaded Russia. It was worse than Hitler making that same mistake.
Our great President and Commander in Chief took a military that was one of the best, if not the best DEFENSIVE force on Earth, IGNORED THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF HIS COMMANDERS, Fired Two Chairmen and an assistant to the Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs and SENT AN ANEMIC FORCE OF 150 THOUSAND, WHERE HALF A MILLION WERE NEEDED, TO INVADE A COUNTRY THAT WAS NOT DOING A THING TO US OR ANYONE ELSE TO GET INVADED, and put us in the REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE POSITION OF NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE. Bush is an IMBICILE, OR WORSE, A TYRANT!!!!!
