Richardson (who may be the best qualified in either party in the whole race).
What, in your opinion, is the criteria to get the Democratic nomination? Apparently being most qualified is not enough.
If Bill Richardson ran for President as an Independent, and you thought he was most qualified, would you vote for him?
I believe Richardson has the best resume, and therefore more experience in what needs to be done, especilly in foreign matters.
It is obvious from the last 2 presidental elections that the American people don't give a hoot about competancy, therefore the bungeling mess that is the W Bush admin.
I believe that to be electable, a candidate must have a charasmatic personality. I believe the lack of that trait hurt Gore, and Kerry. The question of "who would you like to have a beer with?" thing of the past couple of elections. Of course, it is a bunch of bunk since it is unlikely any of us will actually sit down and have a beer with any candidate, and furthermore, it is just plain irrivalent.
Back now to your particular question on Richardson; I don't think he has that carismia , and therefore, I doubt he will get the nomination.
I did state, however, that my favorite was John Edwards, and we'll see how it all falls out. The Republican party has so screwed up this country in the last 6 years, that I will not vote for any Republican again for a long while. Bush is only partly to blame, the Republican led Congress was even more disasterous. (Think Bill , from my diaganosis from this vidio tape, she'll come out of her coma, Frist.) Don't you think he looks like Bob the male enhancement guy from TV??
I don't believe that any candidate running on a 3rd party ticket can be elected. Perou had the best shot, but fell waaaay short. Nader threw the 2000 election to the idiot.
Therefore, I would not vote for a 3rd party candidate even if I thought they were the best qualified, I would vote for who I thought the best was on a main party ticket. (At this point in my life that means the Democratic ticket)
