The Iowa caucus results are far enough along that it is apparent that those three are dead meat.

Perry has enough money from the naive Texas fat cats who stupidly back him to continue in New Hampshire, where the electorate will tune him out (other than for the laughs he is good for), but pretty soon even these financiers will realize that Perry is a hopeless cause.

Gingrich will hold on by his fingernails a little  longer, but he needs a surge badly.  Maybe a few  slack-jawed yokels in South Carolina can be conned into believing he is Reagan Reincarnated.

Gingrich was a big supporter of campaign financing by big PACs, and now that arrangement is chewing him up, thanks to the attack ads sponsored and lavishly financed by the Romney supporters.

In the wake of the caucus, we soon will see carcasses!

I yam what I yam and that's all I yam--but it is enough!

Huntsman didn't campaign there so there is no suprise there. Bachmann is road kill, she could'nt win her home state.  Gingrich has a chance if he will campaign like he did tonight. His concession speech was classic Newt, it he keeps that up he has a chance. The problem is his baggage.

The real disappointment is Ron Paul, while I like his positions I just believe he is not articulate enough. This is the one primary he needed to win or finish close second to have any chance for momentum. It's over for him.

RINO in a landslide! Romney wins Iowa by 8 (eight!) votes and stomps off to New Hampshire, where he is a solid favorite. Thus, it appears that Romney will win the first two GOP primary states. South South Carolina is a different story. A state that would elect the dingbat Nikki Haley as its governor is not likely to have much use for a moderate Republican. RINOs not welcome in the Palmetto State! Haley, winger that she is, nevertheless is campaigning for Romney, but given her current unpopularity in South Carolina, that could be a kiss of death. Meanwhile, the evil-tempered, snarling, flabby-jowled ATTACK DAWG will be snarling and growling: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45866677#.TwQY8TU7Uuc

Not so fast there my friend. I have to agree with the analysis that said that 75% of the GOP in Iowa did not want Romney. He should have won Iowa walking away with Paul finishing a distant second. The last minute surge of the Christian vote to Santorum is real trouble for Romney. It shows the Christian conservatives are not ready to accept a Mormon. I think South Carolina could be his Waterloo.

I think the real losers last nite was Bachmann and Ron Paul. The late deciders went to Santorum, that shows as well that the Christian conservatives are not willing to vote for a Libertarian. This is death to the Paul campaign as he cannot win without some of this vote.

South Carolina will indeed be the Waterloo for Paul. I'm sad to say.

The November election will be a Waterloo. However, the Republicans and Independents will play the part of the Duke of Wellington, the Tea party the part of the Prussians and Obama the part of Nappie.  Although, I find the idea of the Democrats playing the part of the French Guard ironic.  Froggies fought well, back then.

FYI, for the uninitiated, Waterloo was a really bad day for Nappie.

Perhaps, the next President could offer Obama use of an Air Force plane for a one way trip to where ever.  Elba is lovely in January.

OBama has 255 electoral votes in the bag.  He only has to win 1 of the big swing states Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina to win in 2012.  Guess where he'll be spending his $billion dollars in campaign cash?  Media outlets in those states are drooling over the extra revenue.  AlOBama will not see any campaing ads after the primary.

Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina

I'd say Waterloo was the worst day and Elba would fit just fine.

Obama will lose, and then Waterloo will hit him between the eyes.

The sad part is a year can be a long time.

But, but, but you've already declared OBama the loser in the general, even before the nominee is selected.

I'm just passing along the DNC strategery, which is available on Youtube in videos from national campaign strategery meetings.  It's interesting to see how the people that look at politics like a sport view the election cycle.  There are no mentions of policy or issues, just the allocation of monies, because afterall it is just a popularity contest.  .

Seems to me the Republicans have no intention of even trying to win the election. They appear to realize all they say they would do would only make the bad situation we are facing today worse, so they have thrown a bunch of unelectable clowns into the race, so they won't be put into a situation where they would be responsible of the further collapse of the country.
Nobody that has the slightest bit of intelligence could vote for any of them.

I've seen several of the ads  and they are effective.

The ads are only effective to the point that ignorant Americans (I12, for example) believe them.
