Cajun's

Cajuns has been around a long time. Do they have raw oysters there?

Loved the food on the Seafood buffet, but hated the overheard conversation. There was a woman sitting at the bar apparently trying to pick up a man and was talking very loudly and very graphically about oral sex. I was glad our daughter wasn't with us!

I have eaten there one time in the last 15 years or so. I remember the food being good, but I did not like the atmosphere. Too much profanity from some of the patrons. I realize it is also a bar, but it would be cool if the restaurant part was separate for people who enjoy more quiet dining

If you like oysters, try the Grilled Oysters they have. They are great! They grill them on the half shell and put seasonings on them, yum!!!!

It is a very good place. Food for a while ,a few years back . just my opinion, "was not as good as before in early years" but now last 3 or 4 times ,very good , Cajun's allways has good people working there most of the same ones for many years and the owners know what they are doing. I luve most any thing they have .. wife luves the Orsters smoke or on half shell, fryed Crab Claws are very good .

I love Cajuns! Their food is Great!! Love their Mushrooms on the side of Hamburger Steak, Fries & Slaw!!!

I have to go with Bamafnatk on this one. I still like it but don't think it is as good as it once was. I don't eat the fried crab claws anymore because they are definitely not as good as they used to be. The shrimp is good and always seems to be fresh no matter how you order it. BUT I rarely go anymore. It has gotten very crowded & noisy of an evening. When we go we try to go early before it gets so crowded. I also wish they had a totally separate eating area from the bar. They always seem to be short on seating. Maybe they should just buy up the old hotel there, tear it down & build a new restaurant. At one time there was a seafood store connected with them and I bought fresh seafood there regularly. Wonder why it closed.

In the past they did a big Memorial Day weekend Crawfish Festival (but it's been years since I have been in the Shoals for a memorial Day). Do they still do this?

I've always wanted to try out this place... I'm glad to hear good reviews. Side note: If you can't handle some "foul" conversation, you probably shouldn't eat at a bar, period. Drinking and rude, inappropriate convos go hand in hand.

That being said - I'm ready to get my drink on and eat some good food.

I love their food. However, I know many lounges where the language is civilized. Drinking, alone, isn't the cause.

CAJUN'S is right up your alley. LOL. i love the place. yes, they still have the crayfish festival. Memorial Day weekend. they have great food and some bar "regulars" that are fun if you are into "people watching" hehehe.

Them are the high-fallutin kind of bars, the likes of which we ain't got around these parts.
