Snippet: "Most of the debate focused on the economy, education, defense spending, entitlement spending and partisan politics, but started with a question on how the candidates would reconcile the negative tone of their campaigns with Jesus.
Parker said Jesus was often portrayed as meek and mild, but that "He had some real hard things to say of the religious leaders of the time."
Griffith said, "I think he would be ashamed of both of us," and later said, "We really have done a disservice by not discussing the issues."
