Can anyone believe that urban left Tebow in with a BIG lead, only to possibly lose the guy? Is this ignorance, stupidity or what? Sounds like the Shula-Jelks debacle after "The Catch".(I'm a Bama fan, btw)

That was Tyrone Prothro. After breaking his leg,.. it was easy to say Shula should have pulled him. Without injury theres no problem. I do agree with those kinds of leads, let your younger players get some experience. If the game dictates the starters need to return, then do it.quote:Originally posted by The Raven:

I did not see the hit Tebow took this weekend, but the way Florida runs him in their spread offense I knew it was only a matter of time before he would be injured. He is one tough son of a gun, but just proved he's no superman!!

Helmet to helmet, illegal hit (not called), followed by incidental knee to the head from a team mate. Tebow was flat of his back, unconsicous.

indeed , coach, tebow was probably within a hair of suffering a crippling injury....... strength and conditioning routine, with a sprinkle of luck, spared tebow from disaster....quote:Originally posted by MonkeysUncleByMarriage:
I'm not a Tebow fan, but I enjoy watching him play. Plus, I hate Kentucky about as bad as I hate Florida, if not worse.
That being said, the hit was completely LEGAL. It was not helmet to helmet. Tebow never saw the hit coming, which is why it looked so brutal. The injury didn't come from the hit though, it came from the knee to the back of the head by his teammate, which was completely accidental. But anytime you are falling one way at a rapid speed, then get your head snapped back in the opposite direction, you're at risk for a major injury.
