The USA has been under quasi-martial law, since WWI; but it was not until Pres Bush that we had all RIGHTS removed. I am speaking of the insertion of the system of Federal District Courts, Special Prosecutors, and the infamous "GRAND JURY!" Don't look for things to get better before they get worse. The only chance we have is that the last national election stripped Bush and his demogogary of it's Platinum AMEX card. Look at the contrast of events. Ronald Reagan almost BROKE the USA in his bid to break communism. He succeeded! But then it took Pres Clinton 2 terms to turn around the economic fallout from Reagan theft and spending. Then Bush comes in and voids all of the work and throws us into another group of capitalist wars. I pity the next president because he will have to turn this around and it may not be possible. Our largest trade partner is China. They hold so much debt (US Treasury bonds) of the USA now that they **** near own us.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._public_debt supports my statement in case you have doubts. If China and Japan started selling US debt instruments today, but 3PM-EST, the president would have to start selling his oil stocks to feed his cattle in Texas! Not only the President...Walmart, God bless Sam Walton's soul...I guess he is turning over in the grave these days, Walmart would close because the once, "Buy American" modeled retailer that went into small-town USA, competing and destroying all the little towns in favor of a mega-store, evolved into China's largest trading partner. Yes, Walmart, not a particular country, is China's largest trading partner... http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2004-11/29/content_395728.htm http://www.wakeupwalmart.com/facts/ ... I really don't see any way out of this problem. We are in another Vietnam only this time, the stakes are higher. If we leave Iraq, who will step in and try to take it over. Bush opened Pandora's Box. Even his father, who I did not care for, but to whom I must admit is a very intelligent leader and strategist, excepted entering to take Iraq. Our current Bush said he went in to finish what his father started, was a rash and stupid statement. His father finished what he started, it was that he had the brains to not start a bloody-charity-war for the oil companies. I hope that my exercising my rights to Free Speech does not initiate an investigation and questioning of me as well; but if it does, so be it. Persecution and risk is what you experience in the quest for freedom, but I hasten to say that today, America may be becoming that which is has been fighting to overcome...totalitarism and oppression. God Bless all and God Bless America for as long as it can survive us.
