which candidate said:

quote:
February 15, 2007: “I think if you have mandatory carbon caps combined with a trading system, much like we did with sulfur, and if you have a tax-incentive program for investing in the solutions, that there’s a package there that’s very, very good. And frankly, it’s something I would strongly support.” [Frontline, 2/15/07]

And also:

quote:
April 4, 2009: “And now, in 2009, instead of making energy cheaper—which would help create jobs and save Americans money—President Obama wants to impose a cap-and-trade regime. Such a plan would have the effect of an across-the-board energy tax on every American. That will make our artificial energy crisis even worse—and raising taxes during a deep economic recession will only accelerate American job losses.” [Newsweek, 4/4/09]

I think that was Newt... One of the reasons I'm shakey on him. He worked too much too long with Slick Willy and I think he is a moderate on most issues.

However, he is very smart, know politics, and could shred Barry in a debate. I think he is in tune with the American citizens right now and knows, a push back to the conservative roots is the way to go. Unfortunately, unless a true conservative canidate who could actually win pops up, Newt will have to be my "lesser of 2 evils" vote. That's what I did with McCain and what I would do there. But Newt is better than McCain in my opinion. But I'm sick of moderates.
No fiscal conservative has a prayer of being elected. Newt is just willing to say whatever the political dogma of the day requires. he was for intervention in Libya right up until we intervened, now he is against it. Newt is a hack, and yet you would consider voting for him, as you did McCain, meaning you will never get to vote for anyone but hacks.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THIS FROM A BARRY OBAMA SUPPORTER???? ROLMMFAO!!! That's good stuff. Yeah, they may be hacks, but who from your side of the isle is any better? That would be NOBODY! If I have to vote for a hack then I'd rather have a moderate conservative than a commited socialist. I don't LIKE the fact that I have to approach it that way. But until a viable candidate with some ba!!s steps up and tells the hard truth to our weakened society, then that's what I have to roll with.

And you are probably right about fiscal conservatives not being able to win. Too many soft hearted puddin libs like you who want the gov't to take care of your every step in life. Not willing to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for your own life and own money without always feeling the need to get the fed gov't to step in and run your life. I'm sure you'll sprint to the ballot box to vote for any bleedin heart socialist you can in order to keep this pitiful way of life we got going right now.

Why do you think I support Obama? I voted for Barr. You voted for a candidate that would have had the same agenda as OBama. You are part of the problem, not me.

Or, unlike Al Gore learns that global warming is a scam!
