If anything over the last twenty or so years what with affirmative action and other preferential treatment there is no white privilege.  If anything, given our Nation's actions since the civil rights movement and legislation of the 60's minorities have a better chance than at any time to achieve what they want to achieve.

I'm not naïve to say that racism doesn't exist and that there aren't areas where people in control or decision makers are not influenced by race but also there are areas that preferential treatment is given to minorities over white American males followed by white American females.  In many cases, white and black, as well as other races, people's decisions have a direct bearing on their chances to advance and make it in society and in our jobs today.

In many cases the Federal Government, in giving out benefits, takes away incentive for some people and families to work because they can stay at home and actually draw as much or end up making as much off benefits and programs than they could if they had a minimum wage position so the incentives to actually work are far less today a  than they were fifty years ago and therefore many people are content to allow the Government to take care of them and become locked into a system where it is increasingly hard to remove yourself from.

Add to that the influx of illegals and refugees that may also be given jobs that American workers could have coupled with the fact that most goods are now made out of the United States and very few industries exist today that made up the backbone of jobs and employment opportunities that our fathers and mothers had available to them in the 1950's.  Add that to the abundance of an ever growing dependent class off people and you have the sad reality that more and more are living on Government support and far fewer jobs and people are actually paying into the system and supporting those who are taking the support willingly.  It becomes a system that cannot support itself or surely is going in the wrong direction and when the point is reached where no longer the bills can be paid and the sources of funding have been exhausted then the masses who have become dependent upon the support that will no longer be available as it was in the past and that they have become so accustomed to will react in violent and unforeseen ways.  Anarchy, Civil Unrest and mass uprisings will lead to inevitable cessation of civil rights and freedoms as the Government attempts to control those who have no other way than to take from others that which they were accustomed to getting handed to them by an ever growing government.

Yes it can sound like Chicken little claiming that the sky is falling around us but consider the unprecedented things that have sadly become reality to Americans today.

  •  American core industries such as Steel and the like have all but disappeared and America more an more relies on foreign replacements to those major industries.
  • America has more citizens than ever dependent upon Government support for their well being and their daily requirements.
  • A larger number than ever of illegals are crossing the border into our Country, taking jobs and requiring assistance of their own than at any time in the past and even surpass the number of legal immigrants that our Nation would allow to come in legally.
  • An increasing number of immigrants come into the Country not with the intent to assimilate and be Americans rather they do not intend to learn the language as their primary language and their allegiance appears to be more toward the Nation they came from over America that they are coming to.  More and more seek to change America to cater to them rather than coming to be a part of that huge melting pot that America used to be to others.
  • There has been a severe  reduction in the teaching of our Nation's history, who we were and are and how we got here and why we exist as we do as well as the people that got us here.  Along with that an ever eroding appreciation of those who paved the way for our freedoms that we enjoy today all too often replaced by teachings that we should somehow be apologizing for America and our founders.  Teaching that somehow we should be or feel guilty for being an exceptional nation.
  • Increasing eroding of morality as something to be admired and achieved in place of caring more for our own selfish desires and away from common Good of everyone.
  • More and more reliance upon third parties and other Nations for our basic needs far more than at any time in our past.  Whereas imports into America used to be a small percentage of products sold in this Country and most of the goods sold were actually produced here today we have more goods imported than at any time in the past making us far more reliant upon other nations and much more apt to be in a position where we cannot exert influence upon others but are in a position whereby we can find our own selves cut off from essential goods.  Our only industry that we seem to remain self sufficient in is Food and more and more as we allow small farms to be gobbled up and eliminated we risk having to import more and more of that essential products.

There are many other areas and bullet points that I could cite but what I wanted to get across is today, unlike any time before, our nation is in a position where we cannot lead but have to follow and are far more dependent upon others than we have ever been.  While we still maintain the ability to produce two major things we need, as a Nation, to remain independent (food and energy) we have more than ever before become dependent and accustomed to our luxuries and unfortunately those are almost totally imported with China being the largest supplier to America.

We are at a point where there are not precedents for us to cite but we are in uncharted territories with regards to being a free and independent Nation.  While we still maintain the most technologically advanced military and quite possibly the strongest we more than ever rely upon technology that can be taken away by an aggressor and we, as a Nation, are far less capable to function without that technology as many of our aggressor Nations that would be possible enemies and would have reason or desire to see America lose it's standing or status among the World's population.  Most alarming is the speed at which we, as a Nation, have moved from the providers that we were in the 1950s' to the position of needing and taking that we see today.

We are being misled to believe that we should be ashamed for who we are and how we got here, to feel that whatever we have is not deserved or justified and that somehow we should be punished and feel guilty for things that none of us have any responsibility for.  There are injustices today but far less than at any time in the past history of this Nation and unfortunately a dangerous situation exist where more and more people are more content in taking handouts rather than working to achieve more and advancing themselves.  We may not be at the point where things are irreversible however we have ceased teaching what made us great and leading more and more people toward socialism and away from capitalism as if it was some dirty word and something to be ashamed of.  People are made to feel that if they have a desire to get ahead and make a better life for themselves that somehow they are greedy and only have what they have because they have offended or somehow gotten it off the backs of someone less fortunate.  We are sewing far more seed of discord than we are creating incentives for making everyone's life and lot, in life, better.  We are seeing far more than ever before that somehow feel that they are owed something not for what they have done or are doing but just because of their skin color or where they may have come from.

Sorry, my apologies for getting wound up and being so lengthy in expressing my personal opinions but they are what they are and at least we can still express those, our opinions, without fear of reprisal but that too may soon be under threat and become taboo.  I suppose I'm just to privileged to be impartial and be "on board" with those who are content with the status quo, that our Nation is better than ever and headed in the right direction.  I'm still crazy enough, or stupid enough, to feel that when something is proven to work that we should seek to learn from it rather than replace and supplement it.  Our nation became a magnet for most of the World to seek to emulate and come to because of our freedoms and prosperity we achieved in great part to our system of Government and our Constitution and the wise founders and patriots who were wise enough to point us in the right directions.

I also, and I know many will believe differently, believe that much of our success is by divine protection and guidance.  I believe our faith, as a nation, has been rewarded and that as a moral people who cared about the good of everyone, we were caring and through our freedom people were allowed to prosper and advance in ways no other Nation would allow either due to oppression from dictators or the heavy burdens imposed by socialism which in itself deterred innovation and creativity.  I do not know where our Nation is going to be in another twenty years but I do feel that given our current direction that we cannot be Guarnteed those that follow us will have the same opportunities or freedoms that we have experienced in our own lives and that is a sad thing to comprehend or even suggest.

A little off subject.

Muslims will tell stories about "oppression" and so on, and go right along doing the very same things here in the US that they call "oppression" in their countries. They are supposedly downtrodden, used to horrible treatment, yet will jump on any little tiny thing they consider a slight. They wail about the "religious police", yet dress the same here, and cry if people stare or say something. Hispanics are the same way. They cry about their countries yet want to live the very same way here in the US. AND all of them will bristle if they think someone has said something bad about their "home countries". They are all "entitled" and will pitch a fit if they don't get their handouts. This is the US now, and it is only going to get worse unless we can get someone in office to stop it. White privilege? The privilege of handing over BILLIONS and BILLIONS in handouts when the only thing we get in return is hatred and a demand for more?
