OMG! I was unaware that this type of thing could actually happen with todays high tech phones. I was aware that you could use a scanner with the old timer phones, but this is just down right scary. Our rights to privacy are slowly being taken away one by one!

Thanks for sharing this TP! Now I am going to pass it on to all of my friends & family!

This is nothing new. Back in the analog days you could pick them up on a scanner. Keep it on the up and up and don't say anything on a cell phone you don't want anyone to hear. And don't sweat it.
But this goes much further. They are listening to what you are doing/saying even when you aren't on a phone call, and they are tracking your every move on their computer screen.
All of this is scary, but where is the line drawn?
We are a greedy selfish lot of people and we demand our toys. With all those high tech toys comes high tech complications, high tech crimes etc.
I must admit.I now can not go anywhere without my trusty phone, when at one time i was thinking I was about the last person on earth to even own one(only had one about 18 months) But in all honesty do I really "need" one? Nope I do not. They are a nice luxury, they are an added safety precaution, but I have to admit it, my life got along just fine without one.
You can get a keylogger that looks just like a lttle flashdrive. Put it on any computer you want and see exactly what whomever you are spying on is typing. That is one reason why I do not use public computers - like at the library. Who knows what kind of keyloggers and other spyware are installed and by whom? Also, WI-FI is easy to hack, so don't check your bank statement from your iPhone, no matter what they tell you about how great it is on the TV commericals.

I keep the wi-fi turned off on my iPhone...I just use 3G. How safe is that?
