I have been told by a very reliable source that Roger Bedford had a large fundraiser in Franklin County for Chad Coker. Again, as I've stated before, why should we vote for a candidate who is being led by Roger Bedford and other big money lawyers out of Franklin and Marion Counties?????

I've also seen and heard a lot of scuttlebutt that Mr. Coker is being supported strongly by Mignon Willis - the former mayor of Cherokee who was recently found by a Mississippi jury to have defrauded her employer and was ordered to pay her former employer about $200,000. The same Mignon Willis who was destroyed Cherokee with her partisan politics.

To the voters of Colbert County, do we really want the kind of leadership that Roger Bedford and Mignon Willis have in our courthouse - the leadership of corruption and division? By his own admission, Mr. Coker is not from here and has no family here. And now he is taking political advice and support from Roger Bedford and Mignon Willis????

Thanks, but no thanks. Let's send a message on June 1st and tell Chad Coker, Roger Bedford, and Mignon Willis to go home!!! Vote for anyone but Chad Coker.

Have you all noticed that out of all these candidates running for district judge, Chad is the one that is being bad mouthed? Nothing I have seen in his advertisements have been negative towards anyone. I know a few of these personally and I can tell you Chad Coker is a better person than some of these running. And I can bet all these negatives comments are coming from one individuals friends or family. VOTE CHAD COKER, if you want an honest, good Christian, and experienced judge!
In these final days before the election, be VERY skeptical of things you hear. Politicians and their supporters will say and do anything to get a few final votes. Just tune it out, examine the candidates for yourself, and by all means, VOTE FOR THE MOST QUALIFIED. Don't vote for the one who slaps you on the back, attends your church, or spends the most money. Our future depends on US, the voters, electing the best and brightest.
I was reading all the above post and it occurs
to me all of you are political operatives.
The people will decide who they want to vote for in this election based on many factors. Certainly experience and character are high on the list. My best guess is there will be a run off in this election based on the number of candidates. When this comes down to two candidates then we all will want to know a bunch more about the two running.
I for one can't wait until it is down to two. Then we will compare what they have achieved in their lives, and law practices and vote accordingly.
To the operatives above I congratutlate you for being watchful for your candidates. Keep in mind, the rest of us are being watchful too.

If it has not already been posted, a good review of Chad and his family history at link. There are so many threads bashing the guy, it's disgusting.

He has my vote now and in the future, and it would be wise for all the 'rumors' to end or facts to back them up.

The more negative bashing I read, the more I spread the word to vote for him.

If you have no facts to support a vote FOR your candidate, making up lies against their opponent is low class. Low class people don't deserve votes.

I can't vote in Colbert, but I like Coker, and I like him from what I've read in Shoalanda, linked above. I call that fair.

This is what SS added to his words -

Note: It's refreshing that Mr. Coker is one of the candidates in this race that doesn't see the need to smear the names of others and that he has a good grasp on the need change does or doesn't need to play in today's court system.
Even though I am not voting for mr. Coker , it has nothing to do with any of this . I really think he is a fine and upstanding man , but my vote is going where there is more experience and compassion , this office needs the compassion part because it deals so much with foster children/parents , and of course as stated earlier , no one will get my vote that has already thrown away a son . (not Coker) . Chad Coker was really very nice and professional when he made his rounds to my house . I just thinks he needs more experience with fostering and abusive situations first .
