How in the name of Lester Maddock can you bring yourself to vote for someonw who ran an add calling Max Cleland unpatriotic.
You see, this is the difference in REALLY supporting our troops (Cleland was a real hero, and left 3 of his 4 limbs in Vietnam), and just saying you support them.
For his slander of a real veteran and brave person, this scumbbag should be ashamed to even show his face. Voting for such scumb, to me seems to show contempt for veterans and brave soldiers like Max.
Shnauzer, I would not start celebrating yet. I can think of 3 easy RINO's that could defect to the forces of darkness. The good news is that Obama will need the "evil" rich people's money for another run in 2012. The Obamanites might ditch the campaign promises and Obama might wind up being closer to the third Bush term than would McCain.

The REAL John McCain did in fact scold Chambliss publically back when the add ran. The guy who now claims to be John McCAin did not and went down to Ga and campaigned for him. This kind of action just shows that the new (and improved - NOT) McCain will throw away his principals for the sake of particism . Kinda puts the two in the same boat as far as I can see it.
Probably one of the reasons McCain lost so big.
I just love the way you vile little boys will toss a fellow soldier under the bus when he dares not to agree with your politics. Max Cleland is more a man than Chambliss could even dream of being (and most of you as well). Chambliss just happens to be a Repuke wing-nut. Thats what you boys like about him. Patriotism and "values" has NOTHING to do with it.

The add links him with Ben Laden and says he dosn't have the courage to lead based upon the single fact that he didn't roll over for the idiot president.
Can you imagine that, insinuating he did not support the U.S. because he didn't do what Bush wanted.
Yes, that is saying he is unpatriotic.
Chambliss is a skumbbag
Max Cleland's service and sacrifice were another time and anoher place, in a war that most of today's left wing, liberal wackos would be bashing, not defending. I was thrilled to see Max elected when he first ran, but he is not the same person, nor of the same mind as when he was a young champion...people change.

ALL gave some...Some gave ALL.

Interesting that Chambliss was on television today giving Sarah Palin credit for his victory for her four campaign suopport appearances in this run-off.

So because he did not toe the bush line he became unpopular with the conservative wackos. Makes sense.

ALL gave some.....Some gave ALL......Some gave nothing and still got elected to public office demeaning the service of those who did.

AND that would be your precious Obama, who has never served a day in the military, nor really ever supported any military effort that was orchestrated to protect the citizens of the United States. It is a disgrace for you to even make a comment like this after publically supporting a snotty little Illinois lawyer.

Very similar to YOUR undying support of w. He never saw a day of combat in his life. His great contribution to the Vietnam War effort was protecting Alabama from "Commie" invasion (actually he worked on Winton Blount's failed Senate campaign). Rumsfeld, Cheney, most of the Republican leadership NEVER served. You are a disgrace on many levels.

To paraphrase the comments made concerning Obama's election: Our side won, get over it. It's likely Chambliss will be in office longer than Obama.

That depends. If Obama were to win re-election and Chambliss were not to run again, die or lose, then Obama would serve longer. Havin said that, there are some obvious differences between the President and a Senator. One is the leader of a nation. The other shares the job of representing a state with someone else and is one of 100 others doing the same. Big dif.

This will keep the Democrats from having 60 seats in the Senate. It will be harder for them to stop a filibuster and will make them work more with the GOP.

Yeah, those same GOP senators who were so incensed about democrats using filibusters that all we heard about was the "nuclear option". They're singing a different tune now. Did you support that then?

Sorry SankeLady, I have no undying support for W. I simply pointed out that "your" side (last time I checked we were all in this mess, not just one side or the other) supported a candidate who NEVER served one day in the military and has been put in charge of the biggest military in the world. Yet you have the audacity to make a statement about how some "gave nothing"...I'll be the first to congratulate on the most hypocrittal comment of the year.
Now that Obama is elected, I will support him, and I am certainly glad that there remains some small balance of power in the government without a total control by the libs who have an agenda to support.
Just to be an arze, Cleland injuries came from a grenade dropped by a fellow solider, not an enemy. This would be equal to the dems who said McCain was not a hero because his injuries were suffered when his plane was shot down. However, his plane was shot down by ENEMY FIRE, not friendly.
If you question patriotism, you must question both.
I, however, do not question either one.
Chambliss won, deal with it.
