Former GSU starting quarterback Lee Chapple was at practice Thursday and said he inked his official paperwork with Division II North Alabama on Monday.

Because Chapple is transferring down (from Division I-AA to Division II), he will be eligible to play right away for Terry Bowden's squad. UNA won the Gulf South Conference championship last season and advanced to the Division II quarterfinals before finishing with an 11-2 record.

Chapple, a pocket passer, completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 1,774 yards and eight touchdowns last season as a sophomore.

More depth at QB. You can NEVER have enough of that.
