Trying not to be too specific I'm wondering just how good some of the less expensive places are, around town.  Some people just don't care though and if the price is right their taste buds seem to adjust and therefore justify the results.   Granted some may argue that there really aren't inexpensive places to eat other than in your own kitchen but there are several "family type" places that people choose to go and present a better deal at times.

Case in point there are some places that offer all you can eat Catfish on Fridays and seem to be packed to the gills, so to say.  Other places that are locally owned and not the chains may also qualify. I'm just curious what people, in general, think of some of these places.  IF you know a great place to eat that isn't that expensive (aka a good bargain) then flaunt it here, please.

I'm curious as to the quality and offerings of places like Homeside Restaurant on Cloverdale Rd.  I've been to Garden Gate and think it's a great place to eat.  I don't though like Ryan's and won't eat there again fearing the quality of the food that I'll find on the bars there.  I much preferred Ryan's when they were a "Steak House" rather than a Buffet Restaurant even though they aren't locally owned.  There are plenty more places so feel free to use this topic to share with us those which you find that you consider are great deals and also those which you think are best to avoid at all cost.
