That seems to be the case.

I could suggest reasons why Christianity is in decline, but let's hear yours first?

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on new survey data

profiling Catholicism:

All we ever hear from the wild-eyed critics of the Catholic Church,

including the dissidents within, is that the Church had better

"get with it" and change its teachings on abortion, homosexuality

and women's ordination. Yet it is precisely those religious institutions

that are the most liberal on these issues—the mainline

Protestant denominations—that are collapsing. Not so the Catholic Church.

Indeed, its numbers are going north while the mainline

denominations are going south.

The latest findings by the "Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership"

project, a collaborative effort with Georgetown University's

Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, are illuminating.

In the last 40 years, the Catholic population has increased by 75 percent;

it has grown by 50 percent since 1990. More important,

Catholic attendance at Mass is up 15 percent since 2000. And in the

last five years, contributions have increased by 14 percent.

It is also important to note that there has been a 40 percent increase

in Latinos in the Church over the past five years.

Well gee invic, an increase in latinos? LOL!!! Since "the church" gives illegals sanctuary are we surprised? And I am so glad that contributions are up-I mean heck, the church is only worth billions so it needs all it can get. Yep, give the church your land and money while they give your country to the illegals. Nice.

Your article is from 2010, DF.  Here is a newer one. Seems just the Baptists are in decline.

2011 Church Membership: Southern Baptists Decline; Jehovah Witnesses Increase

By Katherine T. Phan | Christian Post Reporter

The Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's second largest denomination, reported a .42 percent decline in membership to 16,160,088 members, according to National Council of Churches' 2011 Yearbook of American & Canadian Churches, released Monday.

Still dominating the list of the nation's top 25 mainline churches is the Catholic Church, which posted a .57 growth at 68.5 million members.

But a few church bodies, regarded as cults by some Christians, continue to increase in size.

Ranked 20th in size, the Jehovah’s Witnesses denomination reported a 4.37 percent gain in membership, with 1,162,686 members total. Seventh-Day Adventist Church, which didn't make the Top 25 list for at least the past two years, squeezed in the list this year in the 24th spot. The denomination – which observes the Sabbath on Saturdays instead of Sundays – now has 1,043,606 members, up 4.31 percent.

Also, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – also known as the Mormon Church – grew 1.42 percent to 6,058,907 members. Mormons are about 1.7 million members behind the 3rd largest denomination in the U.S. and Canada, the United Methodist Church, down 1.01 percent.

Q: What’s the definition of  a megachurch, and how many are there in the United States?

A: Megachurches are not all alike, but they do  share some common features. Hartford Seminary Sociologist Scott Thumma who  compiled the 2005 “Megachurches Today” survey defines a megachurch as a  congregation with at least 2,000 people attending each Sunday. These churches  tend to have a charismatic senior minister and an active array of social and  outreach ministries seven days a week.

At latest count, there were 1,210 Protestant churches in the  United States with a weekly attendance of 2,000 people or more. That’s nearly  twice the number five years ago, suggesting people are receptive to this new  way of worship. The average megachurch had a Sunday attendance of 3,585. But  not all megachurches are mega. The survey found that only 16 percent of  megachurches had 5,000 people in attendance on a given Sunday.

Deep, my Friend,

You keep posting this same thing over and over -- and, yet, still it has not convinced me that your Atheist Religion of Nothing is taking over.   Maybe you can post numbers regarding the fantastic growth of your Religion of Nothing (atheism) so that we can compare that against Christianity.   After all, if your team is taking over -- we Christians need to start evangelizing more.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

At the end of 2009, the worldwide Catholic population increased by 15 million or 1.3 per cent, slightly outpacing the global population growth rate, which was estimated at 1.1 per cent, according to a statement by the Vatican press office.

The number of Catholics reported was about 1.18 billion, the Vatican said, which was up 15 million from the 1.16 billion reported a year earlier.

The number of permanent deacons reported – 38,155 – was an increase of more than 1,000 over the previous year; 98 per cent of the world’s permanent deacons live in the Americas or in Europe.

That, with our Protestant Bros. says we are growing and healthy.

That seems to be the case.

Nothing cool at all about a group that evades paying taxes by claiming to be a religion, yet gives sanctuary to criminals. Let someone rob their butts and they expect the police to be there doing everything for them, but they can break the law and not give a **** who it hurts. You call that cool? Then you ask what atheists have against religion??

And it just gets worse!!

Catholic Church: Demon possession on the rise.

MANILA (AFP) – A blood-curdling scream echoes through the Roman Catholic chapel in Manila as Father Jose Francisco Syquia says a prayer of exorcism over a Satanic cult member believed to be possessed by the devil.

“It’s very painful,” the woman cries in an unearthly voice, her body contorting in an attempt to break free from the tight grasp of Syquia’s assistants. After a few minutes she falls silent, her limp body exhausted.

The case is among hundreds documented on video and kept by Syquia, who heads the Manila Archdiocese’s Office of Exorcism — the only one that exists in the Catholic nation of 94 million people.

“She would have levitated had she not been restrained,” Syquia said of the woman in the video, portions of which were shown to AFP during a rare interview at his office in the basement of a seminary in Manila.

Syquia believes he is in the frontline of the battle between good and evil on earth.

“There is a great dramatic increase of possessions right now,” said the 44-year-old priest. “More and more the demons are gaining a foothold into this society.”

 How cool is this?

The total body count for the ninety years between 1917 and 2007 is approximately 148 million dead at the bloody hands of fifty-two atheists, three times more than all the human beings killed by war, civil war, and individual crime in the entire twentieth century combined.

Apparently it was just an amazing coincidence that every Communist of historical note publicly declared his atheism … .there have been twenty-eight countries in world history that can be confirmed to have been ruled by regimes with avowed atheists at the helm … These twenty-eight historical regimes have been ruled by eighty-nine atheists, of whom more than half have engaged in democidal162 acts of the sort committed by Stalin and Mao …
