A church in KY has voted to ban interracial couples from worshiping in their church.  This of course is the way it should be.  I believe Leviticus says "the worship of God Almighty by multiple races hand-in-hand and side-by-side is an aberration",  and Timothy proclaims, "come not ye aborigines to worship the Almighty amongst the righteous Caucasians, for thou will spend all eternity in Hell."  I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find more justification for these good christians to exclude all sorts of undesirables from soiling the threshold of their church doorway.

Hi Crusty,

Since this came from the Huffington Post, I will only assume it is true.  But, if it is -- this is not indicative of the Christian community -- no more than the despicable Westboro Baptist group.   And, we all know that this action, if true, is illegal.

But, Crusty, will you please give us the Scripture references for the Leviticus and Timothy passages you suggested in your post?  I would really like to read these.

While we know that God did place restrictions upon the Israelites against marrying with people from pagan believing nations -- I don't think you will find any restrictions based upon skin color.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Those passages are adjoining the one from Romans - "despair all who are humor impaired".

Crusty, you forgot to put skipping snoopy after your post. You know that Bill doesn't get sarcasm unless you follow it up with snarky snoopy.

Bill would it be easier for you to believe if it was reported by Reuters?

Obviously it is not something that the other churches in the area support. Good on them. However it is a good example of how there are still racist Christians out there that use the bible to back up their hate and ignorance. Sad....

Hi Crusty,

Not a problem.  We all knew you were just blowing smoke.  But, it is nice that you admit it.

"Nine members of Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church backed their former pastor, with six opposed, in Sunday's vote to bar interracial couples from church membership and worship activities. Funerals were excluded".

Bill, you seem to be ahead of Crusty on this one, since you profess to know that the racist passages are in the books of Leviticus and "Timothy," though whether I Timothy or II Timothy  you do not say.  My best guess is that the cited verses are from the 28th chapter of Leviticus and the 5th chapter of II Timothy.

years ago,,, in an all white class, a black man spoke to the group. he asked who would date a black person. when most the class raised their hand, he said what make you think they would date u?

if someone doesnt believe in interracial dating why does that make them racist? most black men i know date white women as a status symbol not because they like them..

why is it force feed to people?

shouldn't every one be free to have their own choice?

to decide what is best for their family?

choose thier friends?

A status symbol for what?

I don't know why but you see more white girls dating black guys than white guys dating black girls.
