Great video Bill. I saw this a few years ago on tv, it was great to see it again.

So, Bill, what is it you are saying exactly?  Those that fought the Civil War walked with God, or didn't?

Some did, some did not.  Regardless, the Civil War was a great tragedy in American history.  But, praise God, we have moved on and learn from past mistakes.   However, beginning in the later part of the 19th century, the infection of liberalism, i.e., postmodernism, began to grow in American churches.  And, in the last 100 years, atheism and secularism have grown a great deal in America -- helped a great deal by Hollywood.

America would be better off with a good dose of Christian revivalism.  But, I doubt that will happen.   The Bible does tell us that apostasy will continue to grow -- and, then one day, God will tire of it and the end will come.  Better make sure you are standing on the correct sideline when this happens.

One thing that's happened to that theory is that the atheists "in the foxholes" are speaking up and telling people like bill that they are indeed here, and have been here all along.

All Christian believers know this has been happening and will continue.  Why?  The Bible tells us of this happening -- and, then, the end will come.  Even though God's patience is perfect -- it does have a time limit.  And, this secular world is going faster and faster toward the time when He will just pull the plug.   Yes, we believers are well aware of the atheist/secular plague which is spreading around the world.  God tells us, every time we study our Bible.

The War between the States was a tragic time in our our history. How you manage to try to spin it into some sermon about "Liberals" is kinda stupid.The original post was good, why try to ruin it ? The War between the States was started by the conservatives if you will recall. Our most costly war. The winners were the Liberals of the day.

When I was a kid, every so often there would be a news item that someone had died that was an old veteran  of that war, or someone would die that was born a slave.

Lincoln would not be welcome in the Republican Party of today. Neither would Barry Goldwater, Reagan, or Nixon. Teddy Roosevelt would catch Hell from right wing radio. False Conservatism is the real enemy. Socialism and Communism, which many of the pseudo-conservatives here like to blame for everything, aren't even in the ballgame. The Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act of the 60's marked the birth of the modern Republican Party, of which Lincoln and Goldwater would be thoroughly ashamed.

I know bill has been getting weirder and weirder, but I gave this "video" a chance anyway and it has nothing at all to do with religion. I don't see any point to it at all. The civil war is as debated as religion, maybe more so.  You want to go back to that bill? Who will be fighting who? Christians against atheists? Baptists against all other religions? Be careful what you wish for.
