Have Crisis will not fail to use Crisis.

People in Gulf are HURTING.

Share the wealth so share the Hurt

Continue Moratorium on drilling keeping thousands of people hurting while looking good for the environmental crazies who will give me (Obama) a pass on this Gulf stuff.

Pass Cap and Trade that will raise everyone's taxes, cause fuel prices to go higher and fuel availability to be much less. In other words share the HURT and make everyone in the nation HURT economically.

God ( really I mean Allah ) bless (Really I know it's me that is handing out the blessings) America. (really I'd like to say Socialist America).

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

So the president can't even say, "God bless America," and be taken sincerely by you? When you mock him in this extreme way, it discredits your entire point of view. At least, it does with me and I'm a conservative.
Why should he (Obama) ask God to bless America? He(Obama) doesn't want God involved with anything that has to do with how this nation is run nor does he want any consequenses for totally disobeying God but yet he has the audacity to ask God to get us out of a mess. God HAS blessed America and continues to bless us. So many in this nation are just so far from God they just don't realize His blessings.

Looks like you (you) are an idiot (you). Honestly, why don't you (you) get in a tizzy about every other president saying: "God Bless America?"
The Oval Office Address (Short Version): "I've returned ... I assembled a team ... I'd like to lay out ... I've authorized ... I urge the governors ... I saw and heard ... I've talked ... I've seen ... I've talked ... I refuse ... I will meet ... I make ... I asked ... I approved ... I want to know ... I met with ... I've established ... I've issued ... I know ... I urge ... I expect ... I was a candidate ... I laid out ... I say ... I am happy ... I will not accept ... I will not settle..." --Barack Obama

I believe the president is a spiritual man; he just doesn't try to shove his personal religion down the throats of every American. I respect that. I demonstrate my faith in God everyday, but not be forcing others to accept my beliefs over their own convictions. I think that is how a free society should operate. I want every person, as does God, to come to repentance, but it's their choice.

I don't really understand what you mean by "nor does he want any consequenses for totally disobeying God." Can you explain?
Since so many have jumped on the "God Bless America" line maybe I should explain why I put it there, as I did.

President Obama did everything he, seemingly, could to convince people he was this conservative Christian, churchgoing man. Since being in office he's done nothing, that I can remember, that would be pro-Christian or anything that someone of Faith in a Christian God would do. His (and most of his administration) have either bent over backwards to favor the Muslims all while disrespecting Israel and kicking the Christians to the side. Obama has even emphasized his Muslim roots since the election and tried to distance anything Christian from the founding of this country as he could. NO I don't think President Obama is that enthused about Christians and Israel and therefore God and I certainly doubt his admiration for America given all the apologies he's given for America's actions and the way he wants to "change" the country. He may be a spiritual man but actions do speak louder than words and his actions haven't backed up his words, to date.

Our Presidents usually always end up their speeches saying "God Bless America" and I can't but feel that Obama, whenever he gets to an end of a speech cringes at that thought.

If I have offended anyone because I totally dislike this President's agenda and what he's doing to America, this government , the Constitution and the people of America then I'm sorry your offended but this man is dangerous to our way of life and is harming America.

Caduceus - I'm not judging you or calling you an idiot, why approach another forum member that way? I outlined above why I put the "God Bless America" line in it so maybe that will explain that. My criticism about the President is justified by his destructive policies, toward America, his disregard for the Constitution and the powers it limits the President to, His politicizing this disaster to achieve his own agenda, isolating our long held allies while pampering enemies and apologizing for American actions over the years. The man obviously by his actions has disdain for Israel and from his actions and statements he's more Muslim than he is Christian so Allah should be his term for God but if you think my "tizzy" was about the president saying "God Bless American" then you totally MISSED IT.

Gbrk, I don't agree with the president's agenda 100% either but I don't speculate about his faith or how sincere he is when referring to God. It's just not something I do to any public servant or any person for that matter. When a person says they are Christian, I take them at their word. I don't expect them to prove it everyday in every way and in everything they say. I'd hate to know I had to live up to that expectation. If we were privy to the private moments of every president (yes even those conservative Republicans so many adore and embrace as soldiers for Christian principles), I am sure, no I KNOW, we would all be disappointed.
Jelb87, You have a valid and good point. I also don't believe in doing that to people, on here, or that I meet or see in person.

With President Obama however I think we have an obligation and right to know where he stands because I do feel it has and will effect his decisions as well as which way our Country goes. He makes or can make decisions that can very profoundly effect our country, or way of life, and our practice and tolerance of religion. Because of his position therefore I think it's very reasonable to ask those questions or know the answer to them.

The above article (that I inserted a link to) is someone's opinion and it's established fact however when coupled with the President's actions, toward Christians and toward Muslims I think it could be on point.

Again it isn't my place to judge anyone based on their stated religion but the President being a very public figure and representative of our country makes it important to realize where he stands as it very well could effect his decisions regarding terrorist. In fact, you may remember, it seems that people in his administration (Holder for instance) would not classify even those that attacked our country as Muslim extremest.

Remember Obama proposed he was one thing, using that status, before the election and afterward s his actions seem to betray him. It is for that reason I feel the President's history and current convictions or religious stance is important to at least know. I realize it's just my opinion and I tried to explain why I felt that way, regarding the President, but I do appreciate your comments and input.

Gbrk, I wish more people could have civilized conversations like you and I are having here. I appreciate your response. Point taken, and I think we finally came to an agreement. I noticed in the paper today that a poll (don't know which one) actually shows that Muslims have lost faith in Obama's ability to "improve relations" between the U.S. and the Muslim world. They had such high hopes after President Bush left office.

In the same paper, some poll indicates that Mexico's approval rating for the U.S. had dropped from like 62% to 45% since Arizona passed their immigration law. I find that interesting. When those you are trying to keep from illegally entering your country "disapprove" of a new immigration law, it must have some real meat to it. What say you?
