Did any of you happen to watch this monstrosity last night? My daughter wanted to see it, so it was on, but I could not bear to even be in the room. The producers (or whomever) tried SO HARD to be funny and funny it was not! The presenters could barely read the prompters so I don't know if they were drunk or blind, or both. Either way, it was the sorriest excuse for an awards show I have ever seen. There was a part in particular where Paula Deen was rubbing all over "The Situation". What was the purpose of even having these Jersey people on there? If they are trying to attract a younger audience, I would say that good country music will take care of that all by itself. They don't need bafoonary to sell their music or to make people watch CMT. If they are going to watch CMT, I feel they will without CMT trying so hard to sell it. Not to mention, that CMT is hardly Country MUSIC Television anymore. If you want to see Extreme Home Makeover, or Strictest Parents, then this is the channel for you. At any rate, I hope they do a better job next year. Lord knows there is plenty room for improvement.

I was there and I can tell you that there were a few technical glitches, but overall I thought it went well for a live show of that length. And yes - Kid Rock was a disaster. He went off script so much and none of it was even close to funny. And he knew it.

I will say that Snookie and the Situation were totally shunned by the country stars. They sat in the corner of the celebrity seats by themselves with no one even sitting in the seats next to them. And she was on her phone a lot of the time! T.O. sat by them for just a minute but only b/c Jada Pinkett Smith was over there and he wanted to talk to her. And by the way, what were either one of them doing there either??????

Zac Brown Band absolutely brought the house down when they did "Free". The audience went wilder for them than anyone else - including Carrie.
