not sure what Tim Milam is suppose to be worried about or how Chad Coker breaking finance law has anything to do with Tim Milam..
If you are real concerned about where HIS
$30,000 is being spent on campaign you might call his office and ask or since you each seem to know all the candidates business already... It is public documents on the who, what and where campaign finance money is coming from and where it is spent, your mudslinging is obvious and Milam must have your candidiate worried.. hmmmmmmmmm???? atleast he is spending his own hard earned money and not someone elsesSmiler!

In our unscientific polls, Milam is third with Parker & Coker almost tied for a definite run-off. We really like both these guys. Milam can't even have a facebook page w/o dissing somebody.
Trutooit, your obvious bias for Ms. Parker is beginning to become hilarious. As I said on another thread, an old friend of mine from high school has been a lawyer for many years in Tuscumbia. According to him, Ms. Parker had to introduce herself to the lawyers in Colbert County because none of them even knew who she was. I've never met her, don't know anyone else who has met her, and I don't know anyone voting for her. I respect that you want your relative to do well, but your posts and your blog, shoalanda, are just plain laughable now.

Absolutely classic. I think people are beginning to realize what a kangaroo blog shoalanda really is.

I've been married twice, divorced once (in Lauderdale County) and probably had never heard of Tim Milam when it happened.

Now, tell me how any or us are related to Tina Parker.

While you're at it, tell us why Milam's campaign is spending at least 25K more than the others.

That kangaroo blog, which I don't personally write, got over 7K page hits last week.

And we chose Coker as the second choice. Isn't he your candidate?

Ms. Parker has asked that those who support her rise above the common fray and refrain from idle banter on the subject of this particular election; however, the above comment concerning Tina is so ludicrous that I feel the need to respond.

Mrs. Parker is a Colbert County native and a graduate of Muscle Shoals High School and NWSCC, both located in Colbert County. She ran a successful business in Colbert County before becoming an attorney.

Parker has practiced law for nine years, trying cases in both Lauderdale and Colbert Counties. She has been a guest commentator on WAAY's Lawline.

Beginning her campaign in June of last year, she has now campaigned for eleven months. Many of her public signs bear her visage--a very attractive visage.

Now you say that a local lawyer told you no one knew her? There are only two possibilities that can apply to this egregious tale. I think we all know what those two are and which one is correct.
Firenze, I obviously hit a nerve with you. However, let me reiterate a few things. The man that I spoke with has been a lawyer in Colbert County for much longer than Ms. Parker and is in court all the time as he is one of the busiest lawyers in Colbert County. He told me that the lawyers were laughing about the fact that most of the lawyers in Colbert County, including him, don't know Ms. Parker and have never seen Ms. Parker set foot in a courtroom in Colbert County and yet she wants to be a judge here. For the record, he also did tell me that Tim Milam has been slinging a lot of mud.

Again, I don't know Ms. Parker, and I agree that she is an attractive woman. I am sure that she is a very nice woman, but I don't think that running a daycare qualifies someone to be a judge.

I respect that the people who write for shoalanda, including I am guessing yourself, are at the very least good friends with Ms. Parker and that you want her to win. Just please drop the pretense that you are "objective" because your blog constantly takes pot shots at different people, such as making snippy remarks about various political candidates that you do not like in all of the different races. Do Ms. Parker a favor and quit pushing her so hard - shoalandaspeaks has become such a kangaroo blog, to quote some of the other posters here, that you are actually hurting her candidacy by continuing to support her so openly and by putting the other candidates down. In reality, is that any better than what Tim Milam has done?

Once again, look to your own county, your judges are a mess, don't come over here and tell us how to vote. You live in Lauderdale county, our judges race is none of your business.
Jug, we give you your opinion, but don't tell any or us that we can't have one. If this race was the only one that had been endorsed, then you would have a right to object but you can see how many have been endorsed already in three counties.

As for "Shoals Woman" I think somebody has her nailed. Yes, FV does Nurse Nan. Glad to have her. As far as I remember she has done only one SS. I know she's a friend of TP, I don't see where she said she wasn't.
Shoals Woman, I had to go back to check before I stated this for fact. You know we pub. guest commentaries, happy to pub. one from you if you want to send one. So far we've gotten two on the race and they have both been anti one candidate. We haven't gotten any that even support the first candidate, meaning any candidate.

I read your post again and I'm gonna play a little detective myself. You run into a man you haven't seen in yrs and he just starts telling you things about a certain candidate. FTR, tho, any lawyer who does criminal work is in court five times as much as one who does only civil work.

I myself am looking forward to see what becomes of TMs 30K in the next two weeks. I'm not up on election law, but if he doesn't spend it, I think he can keep it for future campaigns. Should be intereting.
Truitt, you obviously have a thing against Milam and a thing for Parker.. thats fine, but your supposedy a informative writer for the smut blog you consider a paper, You have access to all the information as does the public on who is funding each candidates campaign and where there money is being spent why do continue with the lies and inuendos of Milams self earned $30,000 to fund his own campaign instead of pointing out how the others have contributors such as Robbie Martin(ex-con) among a list of other unmentionables? You are the one that postd in June on S-Speaks that Parker opened her office in Mshoals!! (to run as Colbert County Candidate)Further if she had intentions of remaining in shoals after election why not open a real office instead of renting a storage facility as her office for campign time?? I will pray that you find it in you heart to redeem your self and turn you "kangaroo" blog into a genuine good news blog instead of the smut mag of the Shoals
Smut rag? Good news? Redeem?

You know, if there's one dirty word I can't stand it's the one you used about a guy that I don't even know. I know a lot of ppl who don't like him and many that do. I have no opinion, but if I needed to say something bad about him I wouldn't resort to what you called him.

As for good news, there's nothing good about child molester teachers, baby stealers, rapists, etc. That's all part of the blog as well as politics.

Its really interesting that all these posts have started up (with except of jug) just since the Shoals Insider pub that Milam gave 30K to his campaign. I hope no one actually thinks you can buy a judgeship. Read our endorsement of Parker, we said to vote your heart. Sorry that so many ppl have a black one.

btw, we pub four blogs and I've never written one word for any of them.
Trutooit, as I have said 3 times already, my friend also commented on what a jerk Tim Milam had been to all of the other candidates. The only 2 candidates that he made any comment about were Tim Milam being a jerk and Tina Parker being unknown because as nhiswill just stated, Ms. Parker opened a temporary office in a storage building to say she had an office in Colbert County.

I don't like Tim Milam, either, (in fact, I think he is a huge jerk and a bully) but your insinuations about him are just getting nuts. All you have to do is pull up his campaign finance report to see that his $30,000 primarily went to buy all of these ugly looking signs he has stuck everywhere.

I've heard he has begged, but just hasn't gotten any. The point is why has he spent 25,000. more than his nearest opponent. If it doesn't sound like he's trying to buy the election, what does it sound like?
I don't know where Parker's office is, but if she's elected judge, she won't be practicing law anymore so she won't need it.

As for anybody in Colbert County not knowing who she is, let me speak as a male of the species. I've never met her, but I would definitely know her if I saw her. So Shoals Woman's story doesn't fly either. Of course, I've never met Milam and would know him anywhere too since he's had his mug on so many ads recently.

All I can say about this election is I'm glad I don't live in Colbert County. Dirt personified.
this is from SSpeaks June 2009 announcement of TMP new office in the Shoals.. less than a year agoSmiler

Tina Parker Opens Office in Muscle Shoals

Tina Miller Parker, as yet unannounced candidate for Colbert County District Judge, has opened a second law office. Parker, a Muscle Shoals resident, has been practicing law in Florence for several years, having an office on South Cedar Street in the legal district.

Parker's new office is located at 2602 South Wilson Dam Road in Muscle Shoals. A specialist in personal injury cases, Parker's practice has rapidly expanded the past few years, making the move into Colbert County a natural progression.

When can we expect Tina to officially announce her candidacy? We hear there's to be a huge shindig in Muscle Shoals' Gattman Park shortly after Independence Day. We'll bring you more details on that as the date nears--that is unless we decide to keep all the hotdogs to ourselves.
Further.. since you keep harping on Milams personal contribution of his OWN money to his OWN campaign and more lies of other candidates running a campaign on $5000.00(which is absurd by the way,, as most of your comments are) All anyone that really wants the truth to can be found at http://www.sos.state.al.us/ its real simple to scroll down to bottom of page where it says "View candidate financial reports" then type in each candidates name, click the blue links to see where their contrbutions and expenditures have come from and gone to.. I could have sworn that Truitttoit was suppose to be somewhat of a investigative reporter,, but whatever.... For any that want to relly see who you candidates are indebted to.. check it out yourself.. God bless and have a good day!
