A new little joint on Woodmont Drive close to the school. All I've eaten there are the burgers, fries, and pizza but the food is good (fries are awesome), prices are reasonable, the people are friendly, service is good, and the place is VERY clean. Anyway, the only places to grab a bite to eat up here are the new Cafe and the convenience store, otherwise it's nearly a 5 mile drive to Tuscumbia or Littleville so I hope they do well and stay around.

The burgers are great. So are the fries. Worth the trip.

Had lunch there today. Burger was good enought for a repeat trip. Lot better than most of the chain type burgers. And yes, the owner is Tad, the former owner of Sidelines. I was suprised to see him as he was suprised to see me. I was also suprised to find free WI-Fi there. I was able to check my emails and office messages while dinning. Another plus, staff was very friendly.

LMM is a woman who used to post on here, AKA Little Mean Mama. Actually, I enjoyed discussions with her, as she was a Republican who seemed to have actual arguments . Sorry she is gone. She got into a cat fight with another poster, and quit posting. Don't know whether she was kicked off of just decided it wasn't worth it.

I kinda miss her.

A "Desert Eagle" is an automatic pistol made in Israel. I think it is a .50 caliper.

Maybe I shoudda said "it ain't a revolver" .

You are right of course, but I actually do refer to those types of pistols as "automatics" .

Ah, no, not revolver.  LOL!  Keep in mind that a large part of your reading audience would not know the difference and you owe it to them, your fans, to be correct.

Hence the proper use of the term semiautomatic.  The difference between semiautos and autoloaders has fueled many a heated and senseless debate over what an assault weapon is and it is critical for informed folks like yourself to be correct in your terminology so as not to lead less informed folks astray.

But wouldn’t it be fun to watch someone fire a three round burst from a automatic DE!

Testify, Weed.

Based on my CoP’s directive that we should qualify with all none issue firearms [backups and off duty] and with no cap on the caliber, I grabbed my S&W M29 4" .44 Magnum, a couple of boxes of full house 240 grain SWC’s, three Speedloaders, and headed off to the range.  Within the first dozen rounds or so, I pretty much had the range to myself.  Sixty rounds later I was qualified expert, but it hurt to shake hands afterward for a month.

I was known thereafter as "Dirty Bud."

True dat.  Automags suffered from the same problems.  FTF.  FTE.

That being said, I'll bet those burgers at CHC have a better kick than both of them.

Um, Weed...scratch "autoloader" and edit with "automatic."  Thanks.
